Seems as if the calls stopped on Tuesday. Anyone have any idea if they filled up the upcoming interview dates or if they are only going to call early in the week? For those that recieved a call, was it after business hours when they called, in the evening, or during the work day?

Thanks,

Chaz

Bluto-

How does Lindsey feel about purple? :D I think I'll send in a resume with a Powercat on it. Surely that won't offend here will it?

Were all of the folks called currently flying? If not how recent for latest flight? Did applying on Jan 12th have any impact or not?

Congrats, Bluto. When I went in for the interview, I was praising the Lord, myself. As I'm sure you've heard from many others, you'll really enjoy the experience.

As an Oklahoma State alum, I also wanted to offer my deepest condolences for the drubbing we laid on your poor chickenhawks last Monday! See you in Dallas (in the conference tourney, and hopefully online)!:D

?

Are calls for interviews done? Do you think LUV will fill the remaining positions for the year with this round of interviews?

SR

Are calls for interviews done?

Doubtful that all will be filled so soon. Interviews will continue past March.

Word I got from a reliable source is that interviews would continue 4 days / week, 3 weeks/month, for the indefinite future. There may be "waves" of calls for the interviews, but the calls are not done.

Wew!!!!

I guess Truckmaster will have to wait.

Adios,

SR

turbine PIC most important

Very interesting looking at who's gotten called so far. Looks like the magic turbine PIC number is over 2000. Outside of that one statistic, those getting called don't have "numbers" (original app date, total time, 121 exp, type, etc.) as "good" as many I know who haven't gotten called yet.

Cheers!

Original app date may not mean all that much. My XO got the invite to a March 17th interview. He had no app in prior to Jan 12th. But he does have the 737-type.

I read earlier where another guy got called with an original app date of 2001, but no 737-type. Go figure.

16 Mar interview

5500 total
3400 Pic turb.
750 last 3 years
Original app Sep 01
737 type
USAF Retired

For your info, I know this is important to you guys because I also stay glued onto this board for info. Best of luck to all.

Im willing to bet there are forces in action that have little to do with App date, type date, flight time or experience.

Buddy of mine was called last week for an early March interview.

4500 Total

Military T-1 Instructor

Original App Date Jul 2001

No 737 Type

Not sure PIC time but I would guess above 2500.

I got the call for 09 March interview-

Civilian:
8400 TT
2600 Turbine
1400 Jet
1700 PIC Turbine
EX-121 Current PIC Jet Part 135
B-737 Type
450hrs per year last 3
Oringinal app 3-02

Thanks to all the previous posters and poolies who have shared "the gouge".....Good luck to all !!!

Student Hours?

theBluto,

You listed your hours as follows:

Hours/Packet:

With the Military conversion (rounded to nearest 5):
Total 3600
Last 36 months 1830
Turboprop PIC/Military PIC 2275
Total Turboprop 3470
Mil SIC 1200
Civ PIC 95
Civ SIC 30
T-34C 1980 (PIC/Instructor/Standardization Instructor 1730)
P-3/EP-3 1390 (PIC 545)

Question:

Since your PIC and SIC time (Mil & Civ) add up to exactly 3600, does that mean that you counted student time from flight school as SIC? Or did you not include any student time in your total hours? I know that SIC time probably doesn't count for much, but I'm just curious, as I have always counted student (dual) time in T-34, T-2, T-45, and F/A-18 as just that: dual received. I never counted those hours as SIC, since those particular training-command aircraft are single-piloted, as opposed to a C-12, P-3, or E-2/C-2, for example.

SIC

I counted the student time as SIC. There wasn't any place to put dual received on the online app and you can't count it as PIC since you weren't a NATOPS qual'd Aircraft Commander.

LORs Info

I was also fortunate to get a call on Feb 10. My interview is 17 March. I know many folks with more time who are more deserving than me who haven't been called. Here's hoping those folks get called very soon.

my info:

Original App March 02
B-737 Type
Total Time 3070
Mil Jet PIC 1560
Mil Jet SIC 1100
Mil Jet Stud 330
Civilian Time 80
1000 Hours in last 36 months

FYI: A lot of folks I've spoken to recently weren't sure if old LORs were still on file with the original application. I had a chance to speak to a nice young lady in the PD this afternoon and asked about previously submitted LORs. I was told that the LORs from the original apps would be pulled for the interviews. The on-line recs (coming in March) are only for folks after they have been interviewed.

Thanks to all the folks providing help and words of encouragement!

P.S. Houman....the post was edited just for you. Sorry I forgot it earlier ;)

Congrats to all, sounds like an incredible dream come true, there's finally movement at my dream job! :D

Can't wait to feel the LUV, hopefully sooner than later. Blue skies everyone!

Tailwheelin:

Congratulations on getting the interview and best of luck to you. It is encouraging to the rest of us civy's to see someone with your qualifications get the phone call.

Anybody been able to figure out what the magic qualifications are to get the call for the interview? It can't be the type. We've seen one called that didn't have it. Original application date? I believe someone got the call that didn't apply prior to Jan 12th. I know I'm stumped. The only thing I can think of is maybe preference is being given to when you filled out the online app. It would be interesting to see when some people getting the call filled out the online app.

I got the call for a march 17th interview date and I filled my app. out on line in the Beginning of feb., and I never had an app. prior to that, the only thing that I can think of is that I am currently flying as a captain in a BBJ, as to why I was called so fast, and I never had an app in prior, I have seen people that have had an app. in back in 01 to people that just fiiled it out, maybe they are shuffling around,.

Any one else who just filled the App. out get a call that did not have an app. in prior to Jan?
