You know what they say about arguing on the internet.

Of specific humor to me, is that this is the crowd who touts their riches and extensive time off. I guess this is what you do with 200k a year and 18 days off?

INTL hotels have wifi, and after a good dinner or in the lobby prior to pick up, there's always time to glance and then laugh at FI....

Not when you do one leg to Europe or South America Red. One leg over, one leg back, two opportunities for sundaes. Darn Fannnntastic!

Bye Bye---General Lee

We ALL know you dalpa sellouts don't care about your domestic side or their QOL- that's why you outsource half! of it

Oh look, it's the DL stalker. Don't you have a job to buy? Too bad you couldn't buy that RJ job too, sh1thead! After you and your man are set financially.

Sorry Wavey....half was when you were buying your type rating to get "hired" at SWA while still playing nice flying your RJ for us.....(Where was your voice back then?)

It's not half the ASMs anymore.....cool story though bro!

Thanks to your management sub leasing the 88 717s to Delta for cheap and the parking of 200+ RJs, that "half" is shrinking fast. But, your non type rated applicants still have to pay "full" price for a type. Not many will be leaving the big 3 either with fresh 737 types after seeing the type of stagnation you guys have and will have for years. Oh well.

Not all of us paid for our type. (just to be clear)

Not all of us are young enough to pursue a legacy job (again).

The lost decade was a drag on airline careers. To your point though, If I were in my late 20s or early 30s and looking at the retirements coming at the legacies, that's probably where I would direct my job search energies. you are right.

Given that I am not though, I think it's worth saying that there is nothing dishonorable about being a first officer. Still a pilot, paid a decent salary to do something that we all love to do and get plenty of time off.

No pilot wants to retire an FO. But as we all know, fate is the hunter. If that is what happens then i'll be happy to have been gainfully employed flying airplanes for a long time. Won't be able to afford 2 boats, 3 airplanes, and a 50 acre ranch with separate houses for my four wives and a shed to house all of my belt buckles... guess I'll have to settle for a small house in a nice neighborhood and hopefully a good school for my kid.

Hopefully one day I'll get to visit all of those far away romantic international destinations, but I'm happy to do it on vacation with my family. In the meantime, Amarillo isn't so bad. At least it's close to home. :)

I hear what you are saying. Notice I did say all "non type rated" pilots. I also think most of the future applicants will have to buy a type, primarily because fewer will leave the big 3 for SWA due to the huge retirement numbers.

DL hopefully will pay for ALL of the newhire lodging (which is in the new Contract survey for pilots, whether or not to negotiate for that), and I hope SWA dumps the pay for type if you don't have it policy. Both changes would be better for incoming pilots at both airlines.

Another scenerio, a political party with less than cordial relations towards labor wins the senate and then the White House. I suspect they'll break a few unions, simply to save face.

Or ISIS will take over the World. I'd say both have about the same chances....

Half your domestic flights still though-
And shiny big new RJ's
Too big to be outsourced.

You are an America West pilot. You put your nose where it does not belong. You throw insults and cannot back them up. Seems everyone knows the real looser.

I don't think anyone here is looser than your sister.
Come on st. Nic. Just admit it , you're a Mesa pilot. of course with LOA 93, you probably wish you were as well paid as a Mesa pilot.
Are you late for your next lesson?

You haven't either fatass!
Must be tough being a Skywest dispatcher posing as someone you're not.
So keep giving bad info you're getting from that male flight attendant you're sodomizing!
At least you two can share "sundaes.";)

Only an idiot assumes he is operating at 100% on the back side of the clock so you are unduly qualified mr master intl flyer.

If the future of the west was so bright, why are they doing 25% of East flying?

Because of Southwest,

Who'd be doing 100% of the East flying if Parker hadn't saved you.

Wave flyer and general Lee can't help it. They are addicted to this board and putting there noses in other peoples business. They both are just like each other and can't stand that fact. They spew nonsense and talk about things they don't know anything about. Fact is they are both newbies to their flying jobs. I've been flying for a major airline since the 80's when these two were in junior high and dreaming about flying. I think one of these two still are just dreaming about it. You know who you are

Looky here, it's St. dik.... So gramps, you've been flying for decades, and still can't understand what "binding arbitration" means? Of course you don't, you're a cranky old jackhole. I can't wait to watch how your side gets worked over by the new arbitration and then the APA. Retirement is your best choice St. Dik.
