At age 32 you'll have plenty of years ahead of you at Southwest Airlines, you just need to get on the list. Don't let this good deal pass you by. This is like getting into the World Series - in your rookie year, it might never happen again.

:cartman:

you want to look like this  not this :bawling::confused:

There's more to it than just getting on the list. And yes, there are some outcomes of being on the list that to me would be worse than not being on the list, fortunately that's a high improbability.

It's unfortunate that all you get out of this deal is what seniority you can negotiate away from FL. Too bad you didn't get anything when you had the real leverage with your mgmt on Sept. 28th or soon thereafter. Probably didn't think you needed it. BTW, don't forget about the gains you negotiated in the transition agreement, that could be the extent of you not getting harmed.

I pretty much always look like this

Therein lies the million dollar question. What is the magic equation that will give a reasonble outcome for current WN pilots while doing as little damage to the FL pilots seniority wise (contract and pay withstanding).

It is interesting to note that the well verbalized concerns of some WN posters places so much emphasis on seniority, when other WN posters try to tell the FL guys that seniority and seat don't matter, it's all about the pay and contract.

It's about all of it-seniority, QOL, pay, seat, etc, etc. I think we all have our own personal threshold that would garner a 'yes' vote, hopefully they can craft something that will push the needle over 50% for both carriers.

How old are you swa/fo? and what percent do you sit?
Its not going to be relative.. but its not going to be a staple either. Why would you expect him to vote for any thing close to a staple, when he might as well take chances in arbitration? Do you have anything besides fear and threats that GK and swapa will pull a usapa and break the process agreement they signed? Is that really a road you want to go down? The toxic environment at usair is last thing any of us should want. -And to avoid it, both sides are going to have to give a little. - thats why they aren't called Demand Committees. I think both pilot groups have some valid concerns that can be addressed and its my hope the two MC's can come to an agreement even if it means thinking a little outside the box.

I think all Air Tran Pilots are gaining A LOT. SO MUCH more then SWAPA Pilots can gain from this deal. We are giving the MOST. To sad yall can't see it.

Dude you have no seniority at Tranny now. Sitting 87% in the Company, you are a "yes" voter regardless of SLI deal. You have the World by the balls at such a young age. Welcome to Southwest Airlines. Don't tell me you're more concerned with Ty Webb and his seat (that he will not hold after SLI) are you? Don't let these dudes ruin your shot!

:cartman: Beers on me dude!

Redacted: due to me being wrong ...... Just this once :)

Did he tell you his seniority ?

Are you still stalking individual pilots ? These are people that your boss is trying to integrate without animosity or persecution. It's starting to sound obsessive. You're not helping SWA by attacking or stalking individuals.

You don't represent well ...... At all. :cartman:

What are you talking about?

See above.

What is SWAPA (not SWA, not WN, not GK, not Herb, etc) "giving" anyone? You're going to furlough us first and take our airplanes according to the transition agreement and wanted to draw the process agreement out as long as possible. I'm seeing the warrior spirit but not seeing the servant's heart, isn't all of it part of the "culture"?

Luv2 Let me clarify somewhat. I am concerned with senority because any hit I take in senoirity in this deal either on the front end or during the course of my career will cost me financially. I Luv SWA but bottom line its a job. A great job that I am greatful to have everyday but a job. If they quit paying me I will quit showing up. The real issue here is career value. The AAI pilot group to the person will have the value of their career enhanced by this deal no matter how the list shakes out. I feel that fair and equitable means that the value of my career shouldn't be decreased by this transaction.
