It was great for me. I drove to work, had and awesome FO (former AT) wth the best attitude ever and a great trip. I got the same ice cold welcome from half the folks down in the lounge but I've come to expect that. All in all I can deal with it if I am driving to work.
Pretty much the same dudes, just different color epaulets. The RSW dudes are a little shy until you engage them with a smile or hello then they warm up.
KP. Is spot on
Above post,
Might be worth rereading .
It sure would be nice if we all could get along .
I didn't exactly see guys giving each other handjobs, but it seemed cordial enough maybe a bit quieter than usual, which is a good thing I guess.....
Wait, you guys are getting handjobs in the Atlanta base?! Damn, we're lucky to get cookies occasionally in Vegas.

Thanks for rubbing it in Southwest. I walk into the crew room for the first time since SWA moved in and it looks like a cross between Dave and Busters/Buffalo Wild Wings. 20 flat screens and the NFL ticket for FF season. The wing bar was a nice touch but I found the ranch bucket empty. I go around the corner to the old FA section and there is a full blown arcade. Pool tables, golden tee, etc. I had to fly so I couldn't grab a beer but the rare seasonals on tap, looked amazing.
You guys have been here less than a week, can you ease us into the koolaid? Start with a coffee machine then slowly build to what I walked into.
Morale in the crew lounge has been in the dumper for a while now. Very few smiling faces so those icy stares are just the norm no matter the color of your epaulets. It isn't you. I spend as little time as I can there.

You have not seen anything yet. You will be getting Christmas cards Birthday cards sent to your home from SWA.
Yeah, those birthday and Christmas cards are great. They make wonderful kindling to get the fireplace going.

The head SW Poohbah in the office sits in a chair that was removed from an airplane, possibly a 737 or maybe a fighter he ejected from and could not bear to part with it.

I thought you were quitting?
One that doesn't require a college degree.
He and the bottom half of your list will probably be applying to the big 3 Legacies to find actual "upward movement" and better QOL, rather than the stagnation your group will most likely have. Remember, when one SWA Capt retires, one AT FO moves up, and then one newhire is hired. When one senior legacy pilot retires, 10 people move up from different sized planes with different pay scales, all paying more, and then a newhire is hired. Big difference. Which of the big 3 will you be applying to?
Bye Bye---General Lee

Yeah, those aviation science degrees from riddle are worth their weight in gold

Patience, my dear friend. I've still got another 6 months or so, probably, unless the schedules really go to hell this fall.
You boasted you were leaving in November. Quite a shocker you being two faced again.....
