Was SWA an 8 plane operation with one crazy hub in NW FLA 20 years ago? SWA had a viable business plan back then, and Vision does not. Allegiant is different, and mostly avoids conflict. The General has it right, again. Your theory is full of holes, even on FI. I am surprised you didn't add Virgin Galactic also to your "worry list.". Who knows, they may challenge SWA to the Moon someday after Airtran helps you get your ETOPS certification....

Stop wasting your time on here and go shoot at your watch.

Ty...What happens if the "new SWA" with you onboard in say 5 years buys someone like Alligiant? Would you want a staple or relative, DOH....what? You may be in that position....what do you have to say?

If they brought the planes and seats with them, and there was "no bump, no flush", how would it affect me if they were integrated into our list?

Please explain how this would impact my monthly line award? My pay? My vacation? My base?

Thanks in advance.

I think we might be part of the USAir deal in the next five years. We will take the West side only.LOL

The west is a complete disaster, pilots on furlough, never made money and were on deaths door until the USAir merger.
Seems to be the better thing to do was let them die, but for some reason SWA couldn't kill off the cockroaches out west.

Midex pilot's average tenure was much higher than that of an Airtran pilot. At the time, AT was not doing them any favors seniority wise. SWA pilot's average tenure is nearly double that of Airtran's pilots. I just think it's funny that years of service don't seem to apply in AT ALPA world. Whatever happens, I'm here anyway.

Years of service didn't seem to matter at Frontier when SWAPA offered them a staple. I expect and have no issue with SWAPA asking for a low ball offer, just don't be angry or surprised when we don't accept it (just like F9).

Ty is my fav! Suck it SWA. Sure you have better schedules, make more money, stay at better hotels, get cheaper booze, etc... and maybe your airline has more planes, money, hedges, etc...

Airtran brings the X factor. The X stands for awesome. Our pilots, flight attendants, gate agents, and airplanes are more awesome. GK knows this which is why he paid 1.4 billion to get a small scrap of our X factor. Good luck containing our awesome in your culture. You are just lucky we didn't buy SWA. Sure we didn't have the money but most exchanges recognize Awesome as legal tender.

So to bring this full circle. I expect SLI to be fair. Fair is simple to quantify. The pilots with the most Awesome go to the top of the list. Then the rest of the pilots are slotted in below Airtran in order of Awesome. Here is a quick chart so you can add up your awesome points.

Exactly-someone who gets it. Their integration with you will not affect your QOL in any way, shape or form. You aren't looking to climb on top of someone simply because you think you are a better pilot who "earned" his position.
