Have you talked to many F9'ers? Everyone that I talked to says that some senior dudes were the ones that flushed the deal for all of them and they would have done anything to ensure they went to SWA instead of Republic. If you really think they wanted Republic, you are smoking some good hoochie!!

If AirTran bought Allegiant, and they brought the appropriate number of airframes/pilots, how would a straight-ratio integration, (no bump, no flush) affect my:

• Monthly Line Award
• Domicile (no bump, no flush)
• Vacation
• Pay, lifestyle, pursuit of happiness

Your monthly bid could shift down as senior Alegient folks bid into domicile forcing you to weekends, AM's or you might have to move to another domicile to keep or regain these bennies. (Yes, this could happen without aquisition, but it doesn't because equalibrium is already a constant; everyone is where they can or want to be).

Same can be said for vacation (instead of XMas off, you get Jan 21-28), lifestyle, pursuit of happiness.

Pay could be affected by more senior Alegient outbidding your extra flying.

While your relative seniority remains stable, company growth is slowed. This is because your company can only get so big in the environment in which it operates, resulting in slower improvement in your "relative" position in seniority.

Domicile makeup will change, as Allegient is rolled in and fences fall, senior Alegient could move into your house, so to speak.

Well it's a good thing that none of that will happen with a usair/aw type sli. Remember, gk told you this would increase growth and without it, stagnation will occur. In that case, those people who still can't hold weekends off in the base they want or channukah off, would be waiting even longer without the growth at brings to the table. What a loaded question. How about let arbitrators figure out what is fair? They are paid to do that, and they are "neutral." That is what you are scared of, obviously, anything FAIR determined by a neutral. Your lawyers put out the facts, and someone else decides. It screams FEAR in your book.

Let arbitrators figure out the SLI. Really? YGBSM. How about the two groups work together, and as a LAST resort turn it over to an arbitrator. And if you think aribitrators have any common sense, look at the recent decision reference Eagle and the TWA folks. Unbelievable.

I think your response showed that you yourself don't understand what the result would be.

In the scenario I described, if they brought the same number of seats with them, then there would be that many more vacation days and lines to bid. Your seniority doesn't change, you just wouldn't be improving your position at anyone else's expense.
