Nope- telling you my perception of you from this board.
Even that last line. "Better for everyone" it's a subtle way to say your negotiating position. You HAVE to include that it's good for Swapa pilots too even though the only person anyone can speak for is themselves- why can't you speak for you only and say its a good deal on your end- instead of trying to speak for us? Why can't you still acknowledge the financial benefit you'll receive as a benefit?

And you're contained excitement is what gets to swa pilots. This is airline 6 for me and I know what run of the mill airlines are- this isn't one- and it annoys me to know end when some downplays their good luck by saying they are only "quite" happy. How happy? "Quite".
It annoys all of us. Bc we know this is a special place- and if you don't agree we'd rather not have you. And yes, it's a good point that you have spent years treading on swa. And all of us haven't forgotten it anymore than we did your Gulfsteeam shortcut past.

Were you wrong PCL when you said AT wouldn't do well in an acquisition by swa? Just what did you mean by that and what if anything do you think has changed?

Or are you looking out for #1 now that it's happened.

Easy answer, he was correct at the time when he wrote that post given the context of the wonderful deal that was offered to the Frontier pilots. SWAPA and you would have demanded a staple, thankfully for us, you won't get it. So, yes PCL was correct, if you and SWAPA had your wet dream, we wouldn't do well in a merger.
 
It's not a merger. F9 should have taken a staple, they would have been better off now. This is a great deal for trannies. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Be smart.

Wrong answer, his post was over a year before we bid for Frontier. And I don't believe he was asking you anyway, unless you and PCL have a ventriloquist act going on here.

At that time, we had basically no protections in our CBA for acquisition situations. The new scope section changes all of that, with clear requirements for merging the operations and the pilot groups within a set period of time. In addition, there is now a 4-party Process Agreement that lays out a fair process for resolving the seniority issues. With those two things together, I have no worries about where this is going.

Those guys with the stuck mic were sure complaining quite a bit.

I can only imagine the TV Station refrained from airing their thoughts on the acquisition. Wouldn't be family viewing.

PCL, it is too late dude, you ran your mouth while in office, you didn't hide your position when it became apparent that you could not keep quite. You are either narcissistic, immature, or naive? Now saying you only speak for yourself is disingenuous. You are not very mature in the world of aviation, and not very professional representing ALPA on a public web board.
 
I would absolutely turn these quotes in to an arbitrator. He/she probably will wait 5 seconds before they laugh and then belch. Who cares?

"Flight attendants at Southwest Airlines are deeply disappointed and angered by the insensitive, and unprofessional comments demeaning flight attendants that were broadcast by a Southwest pilot over frequencies used by the FAA for air traffic control on March 25, 2011, revealed just yesterday.

"Southwest's flight attendants are highly respected by our customers for their skill, professionalism and customer service and expect that same respect from co-workers. We do important work and should not be demeaned by pilots, managers or anyone.

"We also are dismayed by the response from Southwest Airlines' management.


"The official response from Southwest's spokespeople and leaders has only added 'insult to injury.' Calling this broadcast a 'private conversation' cannot dismiss this incident. There is no place in our workplace for any conversation that demeans, insults and discriminates against other employees.


"Our Union is rooted in fighting for the rights and protections of working people, including forging the battles to end the prohibition of married women, pregnant women and men from serving as flight attendants and we will not go backward by accepting the behavior and speech of this pilot or any other employee. We are calling on Southwest Airlines to address this problem throughout our company, not as an isolated incident, but as a mandate that our workplace will be free from discrimination of all forms as a condition of continued employment.


"We have instructed our attorneys today to investigate the possibility of filing an EEOC charge with the federal government. We hope not to have to go that route, and instead, we are counting on Southwest Airlines to remedy this injustice. Bigotry in the workplace is bad business and unacceptable behavior on the ground and at 30,000 feet."

You are absolutely right and I'm impressed that you were open to the point I was trying to make.

SWAPA pilots are no better or worse than AirTran pilots. As a company and as a group, Southwest airlines is exceptional and unique.

Trying to vilify AirTran pilots or threaten them with GK's club is wrong. Right now I don't think we're on his mind. SWAPA's pilots definitely are ....






I'm a five foot two inch red head with hair like velcro. I never comment on FA's.
 
Yes, I got your point but in reality this will have absolutely no impact on what lies ahead. And by the way, what GK does with his club is his own business. This thing will either happen...or it won't.
