I didnt go that route but I remember shopping around being in Westwinds office in 2001. i was 19 with 5 hours total time and after being done talking with them I remember I was all like "pay 60 grand, become a CFI for them in 9 months, CFI for 6 months and then I can be an airline pilot with American Eagle!!" They left out the stuff about commuting, the $23 an hour is times 75 hours per month not the american deskjob standard of 160 hours a month, reserve, pensions going away, whipsaws, bankruptcies, etc. I was dumb at age 19 but if somebody would have just told me the truth.

"The Right Seat Direct was the perfect program for me. Outstanding training with the opportunity to flight instruct. They really cared about me and made me feel like family."

Orman is like the Motley Fools guys or any other financial "personality".
I do not dispute her bookselling success, nor her TV fame.
You, foolishly assume that these facts somehow are verification of her financial know-how. The world is full of so-called experts.
You've proven my point, in a way.
She's an entertainer, and a successful one. That was never in dispute.
I seriously question your own financial astuteness if you feel that becoming a finanance 'celebrity' is sufficient proof of her investment knowledge.
Perhaps you were conned into buying one of her books and are still trying to rationalize your 'investment'?

FDJ2 said:10 year Crj Captain pay CMR: $74
Mesa: $70
It doesn't look like there is a world of difference in pay between Mesa and Cmr.
XJohXJ said:Actually, $74 is 5.7% higher pay than $70. Believe me, that most definately IS a world of difference when you are struggling to stay in the middle class, which is most certainly what we are trying to do.
