I averaged 16-17 days off a month. The first 9 months were at 3rd year pay and the last 3 months at 4th year pay. Per diem is included within my figure.

Factor in 2 weeks vacation & four - 3 day trips dropped for illness (sick pay). Lots of my trips had overnights where I live, which worked out well too.

If you want to get paid like a professional, then lets act like professionals. There is a difference between providing information of potential income at certain carriers in certain years and bragging about one's specific financial coup.

Airline pay is unique in that everyone at an airline is paid from the same pay table and the pay tables are public information. It's not like your pay is a confidential negotiation between your supervisor and you.

It's not confidential information as it would be in many other industries. All of the pay rates are published for all to see so what's the point in hiding what that translates to on a W2?

i kind of agree, but not being in the industry yet, i'm really curious what real people are making, as opposed to just seeing what a 15 year F/O on a widebody makes at XYZ airline from airlinepilotpay.com. this thread adds a sense of realism.

some of these pilots, if being truthful, are making a lot of money, to my surprise. i am hoping to become an airline pilot, but i would not do it for the pay -- it's just a nice perk

90 bucks a trip X 95 trips a month X 12 months = 102,600 + 5,000 per diem = 107,600.

Real tuff.
