I've been the same rumor of that little airline in Texas.
Immediate international. ETOPS. I like it.
But.......... I'll believe it when I see in on the ramp or in the bank.
Gup
Hopefully you treat those guys with respect this time, and don't just demand a staple. I don't think DOH would ever apply here, but a full staple is ridiculous. But, I wouldn't doubt your union will demand it, and expect everyone to bend over for you.
And, this would obviously be a swipe also at DL (NWA) in MSP, which isn't really a bad thing for us. If it meant adding more mainline planes back to MSP (to cover for CRJs or CR9s now) to compete, then it is not a bad thing at all.
And one more thing, if this means the Sun Country guys FINALLY get to go to LBB, then I bet they would be jumping up and down. Heck, maybe a staple would be worth it then........
Bye Bye--General Lee
I do not think SWA was serious about the F9 offer, but rather just wanted a look at the books and/or to jack the price up for RAH which they did. The offer was based on a labor contingency to ensure that there was no obligation. No rational person could think a SLI was possible in the given timeframe...especially after the talk in the initial announcement about interviewing F9 personnel for employment consideration. While I do not think it was a good move for the F9 leadership to do what they did, I dont think it mattered in the end.
If im not mistaken, Sun Country is non union. Integration would be a non-event.
