Only thing I disagree with here is the whole Part 141 is superior crap. I find that Part 141 is very inflexible, and the relaxed requirements are puzzling as well. Just my thought on it.

I'm actually a part 61 fan, both for training and being trained. It just so happens, however, that I work for a 141 school that is paying for my MEI. Consequently, I don't do much complaining.

Most important thing in flight training is getting a dang good instructor to teach you. That is far more important than the price.

If you're looking to get 600 hours (and presumably can't work as an instructor without a work visa), you should BUY a plane, go somewhere with low cost of living and cheap mogas, and rack up the hours. You should be able to operate your own C152 far cheaper than $60-75/hr.

Hi Pilot Doc.....I now came to know that you are very right.
However I found Ari Ben Aviator providing 200 multi-engine out of total 222hrs in some $35k...and adding to that living and exams around 10K..so total is $45k.....
but 'am not sure if thats good!

Does anyone know what the requirements are to do a 50 or 100 hour multi block at Ari Ben? Is it anything beyond IFR and Multi?
