Yeah, FA's just have to get everybody off the plane when the drivers really F things up. :erm: Guess they're pro-active and re-active safety, eh?
Cheers...

Are you implying that Sully F-ed up?!! Cart-Tarts are funny

Nope, not at all...it was just a point that FA's aren't just your little sex kittens and we really do things proactively and reactively for safety. I actually had an Inflight Mgr at one of my past airlines say, (when I refused to fly with a drunk pilot) "well, remember, you only need to be concerned if something goes wrong." As in, "well, as long as nothing goes wrong, you can just serve your Cokes." To which I hauled out my FAM and asked them which part of my pre-flight I should skip.

Since your bring up Sully et al, the entire crew excelled in their actions. I find it sadder that there are so-called professionals who ridicule the actions of the "B" FA on that flight and accuse her of trying to open the door (which was erroneously reported in the media) "blaming it on a non-existent passenger" and consider it "dumb-luck" that everyone got out and that she was essentially a liar.
Yeah, like when they panic and open an aft door on the Hudson A-320 and then blame a non-existent passenger! --Hawkered
Sad. I'll take fat and "battle-ship" over disrespectfull and classless.

The point is, we shouldn't have either type!
