What is the status of things at NetJets? I am not very knowledgeable of the whole strike process, but had been hearing of a June deadline. Did it come and go? Or did it ever exist? Are negotiations ongoing, or have they stopped?

A search for news on the matter yielded little news, but alot of debate.

Talks start back up wed. Both sides are closer but scope and money are still yet to be determined. The company "SEEMS" more motivated in the past month to get a deal done.

The June deadline has come and go. The strike vote gets counted later this month.

Perhaps a dumb question, but if the stirke vote passes...do you guys DEFINITLY strike?
A strike vote is not even a requirement under RLA to strike. It is a measurement tool used to guage desire of the membership to withhold services if leagally allowed to do so. The tool has many uses.

When the strike vote passes, no it does not mean a strike. Just that we are ready and willing to strike to obtain a fair and equitable contract. At this point, it is a message to management from their pilots how important a fair schedule and wage is - and how important it should be to them. We are serious about what we are asking for, and the management should be seriously considering our proposals.

At this point you are correct that it is a vote of confidence in your Union leadership. And we hope is passes with flying colors so you feel good about being in the same boat. And anything less than the 89% upon which they were voted into office would be a declining lack of confidence. Just like the declining polls of George Bush looking for weapons of mass destruction. Sort of like the MEC looking for the weapons of mass profits for your 100% wage increase. The money isn’t there and they won’t buy labor on debt. So your vote of confidence will tell a lot about the membership, the kool-aid and your future.

O.K., I'll bite:

"The money isn't there"! How do you know? Please, explain EXACTLY how you know the money isn't there? Facts only.
