I am at Spirit and I do not have a degree. So yes, they will hire with no degree if you have other selling points.

I am an 8 year Captain at Spirit, with a DUI, I don't think it's a showstopper. Just explain your circumstances and take responsibility. I am sure Delta won't be calling me, but then again I never applied.

I think you misunderstood me, I was responding to the earlier post since he was asking what it took to get an interview invite. I listed the thing that it took me to get an invite. I actually start class at Spirit very soon.

I did misunderstand you. Congrats on the class. Good luck with everything.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but instead of starting a new one, thought I'd ask in here...

Spirit looks like a viable career option and I'm interested to know,

How long on resv for new hires?
Are resv lines commutable?
Are regular lines commutable?
What is QOL on the road like?
Are upgrades still running about three years?
And is FLL possible for a new hire?

Thanks!

1. A new hire should be able to hold a line within 5 months.
2. Reserve lines could be depending on what you bid, we have 3am, 8am, 1pm, and 7pm reserve periods.
3. All at least have either front or back commutable.
4. Not understanding exactly what you mean for QOL on the road but we stay at descent hotels, so if that's what you mean than yes.
5.If hired today, you'd be looking at 4-5 years.
6. You'll be able to get any base in the system by the time training is done or a month or so after the most. FLL as a FO, you'd be able to get before training is done no problem.
