I did an awesome troop charter to Germany that had me dead head in First Class over, get a nice hotel, take troops somewhere I can't tell you, dead head back to Germany, and then another DH home, all for about $4500. Yeah, one leg, two great layovers with great German food and beer, and three first class dead heads.

OMG! It's Penelope from SNL.....
I did an awesome troop charter to Germany that had me dead head in Space Class over, get a 5,000 sq ft Condo, take General Martin E. Dempsey somewhere I can't tell you, dead head back to Germany with Dirk Nowitzki, and then another DH home, all for about $4,500,000. Yeah, one leg, two-hundred great layovers with great German food and beer and a ride in Hitlers car, and three Space Shuttle dead heads.

One thing's fer sure, the guy running big D is a sharp cookie. DL is firing on all cylinders, they schooled GK on the 717 deal. Even the most passionate WN koolaid drinkers outta be able to see that.
Just another legacy carrier
I will disagree with that statement. SWA knew exactly what they were doing when it came to the 717 deal. Now as far as the AT deal......that is a different story.
A special shout out to the SWA FO that sat in the bar at the LAX hotel, in full uniform for two hours eating dinner. Tie on, balding head gleaming, smiling graciously at the other customers.
Where the f***k do you guys find these people ?
VERY well put... It's the same as when I see guys wearing tattered uniforms, no hat (yes, it's what the public thinks a well paid pilot should look like), and worn out scuffed shoes.. If you want to get paid $250,000/year .. look and ACT the part.
My hat always made me look like a Russian Sailor, it was huge on me. When I walked through the terminal passengers were scattering because they thought the Russian Navy was invading PHX Sky Harbor. So I'm glad I don't have to wear it. Maybe thats why I make far less than $250K. It does look good on some people, and looks awful on others. Other than the hat, I do ACT like an Airline Pilot very well. But in reality I'm just a house wife that does a killer load of laundry and I am very punctual when it comes to chauffeuring the kids to dance class and swim practice. Reserve life is good.
Just nonrev'd to Cabo with my wife on AAI out of SNA...treated wonderfully by all the employees! Great service/product (plane was empty though)...
Was he wearing a "One Luv" lanyard?![]()
No. He was wearing a SWAPA lanyard. Really..![]()
And yet more examples of why aviation is not viewed as a true profession. Just take :30 minutes to read some of the stuff on FI.com... "My airline is better than your airline!" Or "Haha your stuck in that plane...ewwww."
"I wonder if Doctors at the Mayo Clinic are in turf wars with Doctors at John Hopkins?
Or if lawyers write, under anonymous names, trash about lawyers at another firm.... Probably not, they are all hanging out after work at some bar in Manhattan."
We have Swapa lanyards? I don't recall ever seeing one.
