I liked it better when OY6 was out of work. Seen but not heard.

How would you feel if Delta was buying Virgin and they were typing the same nonsense you see here from tranny's boyz? My guess is you would respond at some point. I mean, heck you respond to something - that is none of your business now.

I never thought of it that way but so true. I have a good friend that flys for DAL, and any time we are at a social gathering together ,he bad mouths SWA so much that I get people coming up to me asking why he hates SWA so .much.

Kind of of like my neighbors little 10 pound dog, obsessed with coming over to my house and always trying to hump my 100 lb golden retriever :)

I'm not so sure I would consider someone who came over to a BBQ of mine with some of my co-workers and started bashing were we work much of a friend.....

You serious?

Can't you smell the fear? We are getting ready to go head to head with them at one of their fortress hubs and they're posturing to kick our a$$es like AMR did in STL, USAir did in BWI and UAL and FRTR are doing DEN.

The Pain is a coming. There's a storm brewing. Can you smell the ozone in the air?

Take some time off and come back here in a couple years. See if the forecasts of massive DAL growth and retirements while SWA dies on the vine is true. Trust me, there won't be any more false bravado and chest pounding, just the same thing there is here now. False commentary and lame excuses.

Smell fear? Hahhaahhaha. You don't even want to integrate the people who are based there. After spending tons to buy the airline, GK now has to pay even more to bring everyone working at ATL (ground people, gate people, flight attendants, pilots, etc) up to Southwest current wages. To do that, he has to raise fares to pay for it, and they will equal DL's fares. Without a first class product anymore (SWA is ditching AT's first class and XM radio), business people will leave AT and find DL, and pay more for better seats.

Are you really comparing the World's busiest airport and the main airline there that owns 70 percent of the gates and flying to TWA in STL and USAir in BWI? TWA was dying when AA bought it and took over STL, and really never added anything to it. USAir had Metrojet based there in BWI, and that was on a dying airplane (737-200), and no other real movement or transcons. SWA built up BWI because at the time they couldn't get into DCA, and there wasn't a lot of room at IAD. Actually, your gameplan has always been avoiding larger airports and building up smaller ones like MDW, OAK, etc, and that has always been successful, so far. But now, you are trying to invade larger fortress hubs, like DEN (that had two weak airlines but now has a stronger UAL with more cash to fight) and now ATL via Airtran. Changing your businessplan is always risky, and time will tell if it will work. I can't wait to see your eventual international plans and Hawaii plans, which will really expose you to even more risky flying. But, if anyone can do it, it will be SWA and that famous culture that we all hear about but never seem to see. Your plans to become the next People's Express are coming to fruition as we speak. Good luck with that.

Thanks for wishing me well. If Delta bought Virgin America, then an arbitrator would decide where to put people. I don't think the top Virgin America pilot, with 6 years longevity, would be placed near the top of the Delta list. Neither would the top Airtran guy at the Southwest list. But Southwest people don't see any value in Airtran, and that makes a lot of people on here ticked. Your egos are melting your brains. Each time I see that type of attitude, I will respond. Something that is tough for you to understand is that some Airtran guys will be placed ahead and behind you, and that is unbearable for you think about. It makes you scared and upset. So what do you do? You lash out at people who will not make the decision, and that will hurt your future relationships with people that will work right along side of you. I am not trying to slam you, rather I am trying to warn you to bring it down a level or two, since your future Captain may be on "the other side" reading this right now.

Seriously....Delta dudes....what is your major malfunction? Why are you so over-represented in the SWA-hater ranks? :)

Your absolutely right. For some reason it's been a continuous anti-SW spin for along time for these guys. Simple question..

How many SW guys head over to the DL threads and start bashing?

It's gonna turn out how it turns out. What do you care?

I think your double breast riverboat jacket is too tight.

Anyone know an easy way to put an entire airline on your ignore list?

Seriously....Delta dudes....what is your major malfunction? Why are you so over-represented in the SWA-hater ranks? I don't see the same level of animosity coming from any other airline. Are you so unhappy with your lot in life that you feel the need to put others down in some misguided attempt to boost yourselves up?

Why not just get it all out there: unfiltered, no more passive-aggressive dancing around the real issues. Let's hear your beefs. This is an anonymous forum, after all. You may actually find it to be quite therapeutic. :)

I'm not Delta and I think SWA seems like a great airline in many ways. Same can be said about many other airlines. I think what is happening is a lot of SWA posters are coming across as "my airline is wonderful, yours sucks". Also a lot of "SWAPA rules ALPA sucks" Which of course invites retaliation. As does going around saying you are going to kick everyone's ass, we are going to rule the world etc etc

SWA is good at what they do, but they certainly are not the end all, be all of the airline industry. There sure seems to be a lot of SWA folks trying to justify "we are just as good as you!" on here.

I think he made a very reasonable reply and you responded with a somewhat childish insult. I've seen SWA guys get on here and say if your not SWA or AT this merger is not your business. Hello, anybody at any airline can be affected by a merger and the dynamics of what happens at any merger is everyone's business. Besides, this is not a private SWA/AT board, pretty arrogant if you think you deserve other people to but out on here.

Airtran brings more to the table....this ain't like Virgin and Delta....just because you are bigger, doesn't mean you don't still operate in the stone age....The only international you guys know is when you talk to Toronto center flying into Buffalo.....get over yourselves

Herb central time indeed!!
