So what? One has nothing to do with the other. Using your logic (or lack thereof) Bush Junior had taken more vacations than any other president. So while he's basking in is own glory on his ranch lining the pockets of his contributors through no bid contracts, soldiers are dying in Iraq for his lies.

Atleast he doesn't get his hair cut while sitting in AF1, while sitting on the ramp of a busy airport, while closing down all traffic at a major airport. And...perhaps if Clinton didnt get his hummer...he would not have needed to divert the American public's attention to Somalia, Bosnia and Yugoslovia. So, I guess a few good people did die when Clinton lied.

I'll admit I'm no fan of Clinton and becoming less of a Bush fan every day.

The proof that Bush lied is no stronger or weaker than that Clinton killed Vince Foster. A previous poster was correct when he mentioned that we lost 10x the number of guys in a matter of hours instead of three years. Bottom line every life is valuable and I'd rather fight the terrorists in Iraq than on my soil, not to mention depose a ruthless dictator in the process.

Clinton was a slacker in his responsibilities regarding terror, Clinton's admin propped up a smoke and mirrors economy. Bush is sidestepping immigration and not fighting to win, but rather fighting not to lose (ask anyone who runs a prevent defense in football how that works out.)

I think what happened is that Waka go lost on his way to http://www.dailykos.com/ . This is a pilot board about pilot stuff, you want to talk politics, then the "non-aviation chat" would be a better forum. Although dseagrav did make the thread worth reading with his untie and tailor made comments.

Even better than dailykos, might I recommend http://www.nationalreview.com/ where you could go get yourself some knowledge. Are you hanging out on the 9/11 conspiracy threads also? GWB did it to increase Dick's Haliburton stock? Do you and Cynthia McKinney hang out and chat how the President kept reading those 2nd graders that story because 'he already knew what was happening'? Is the world such a scary place that you find fantasy more reassuring than reality?

I think most pragmatic people realize the reason for going to war in Iraq (WMDs on the ground) may have been incorrect (they're all in Syria now?) but we're there and a country and their people would be worse off if we abandoned them, ask the Vietnamese how the last 30 years have been. I mean, ask the ones that survived the re-education camps and the boat lifts.

I see that your question was straight forward but pretty much everyone assumed you had an alternate agenda, which seems to be borne out by the subsequent info. But, to answer your initial question. No, we don't have to wear patriotic ties. There is a standard black tie. There are 3 patriotic ties. There is some other black/wavy pattern thing that looks like you spilled something on it (to me). And there is an 'Adopt-a-Pilot' tie that looks like some 3rd grader drew it, which some third grader did. Probably another one or two out there.

So, SWA pilots have a choice of ties within the 'approved' list. Sorry, no Che Guevera ties or Hammer & Sickle emblems, although I know those are considered hipster in certain circles.
