I would like Denver..

But..If i had to pick one based on the facts i would say Philly.

This just in from the BUF chief pilot's office. It will be either aus, sat, fll, rdu, orf, slc, sea, pdx, sjc, smf, maf, lbb, hrl, crp, msy, jan, bna, pvd, isp, boi, geg, tus, san, bur, ont, abq, den, mci, stl, tpa, dtw, cle, mht, or ind.

Did I leave out any?

Definitely not, hou,dal,mdw,orl,phx,oak and bwi.

Hope this helps

I would like to say ISP. They overnight about 8 or 9 planes a night there and seem to be growing every month. Just my observations from flying into there

May happen. I would put that in as another longshot.

The East Coast could really use another base.

The West coast looks like a very long shot now, but the schedule planners may have run a model showing it works out the best.

Somewhere in-between the coasts, because Chicago is full, looks VERY promising.

I can't decide East Coast or middle. I will be shocked by a West coast base.

Will not be another CA city, workman's comp and taxes go through the roof if more than one base supposedly.

ADD: ATL/MIN/MEM if the micro-base start ups are in the works

The scheduling committee has run line construction scenarios on the major base possibilities. They know that LAS would be a popular choice on the line, but they found that the lines out of LAS would SUQ bigtime, and even have a degradation effect on other bases. Early PM starts, late AM finishes, plane changes, mid day sits, et-cetera.
The nicest sched scenarios came out of SMF and TPA. The swapa recommendation then became TPA. However, a birdy told me that the company is leaning toward BNA, but they are still running marketing and yield scenarios.
