Mdw??
I'm not positive since I don't regularly commute, but I think it is a 2 flight rule. You need a way to get to base and a back up, and if those end up canceled or full, you can call in, and it is no harm no foul (but no pay) until you can catch up with your pairing. probably a little more complex than that though, so hopefully a real commuter can flesh this out.
Would someone be so kind as to list the current SWA domiciles? Specifically, is BNA one of them? I did do a search on here but never found what I was looking for...
The top ten are the eight crew bases plus LAX (#8) and San Diego (#10). Would it make sense for the next crew base be LAX or San Diego?
From what I heard, BNA was in the running and got beat out by Vegas, so if we do announce 1 more base this year, it may be considered again. Never know. Nice thing is, (assume you live in BNA?) there are LOTS of flights to our various bases from there, it'd be a pretty easy commute.
California taxes, not gonna happen
Curious...how does this affect opening a new domicile?
Can anyone shed light on what it takes to get a call for an interview at SWA? There are lots of guys that I work with that have been called out of the blue without knowing anyone. Most of them were fairly close to 2000 turbine PIC so I'm assuming that is that the magic number.
On a side note, what are the chances of getting PHX as a FO base?
To get an interview at SWA, all it takes is a "competitive" application.
Does anyone care to shed light on what is considered competitve? I have similar experience to others being called for interviews but I haven't received any LUV!
Thanks
Thanks everyone for the replies...got invited for an interview yesterday out of the clear blue, after over four years since originally submitting my resume. Just trying to catch up
Had breakfast with Gary Kelly and Colleen the other day. Someone asked about new domiciles (specifically DEN and BNA). They point-blank said they were not considering any new domiciles.
