Your disclaimer won't work for him. Maybe it could be amended to 1/2 his age + 35 rule?

I like it! And, it's true too! Joey broke up her marriage and now he preaches to us! yeah, right.

Look, give it a break. You are showing your true colors.

If you will ever come back you'll discover what these two are about Tim.

Shuttle America, is being kicked out of SLC and LAX as of Sept.1st? It may be Oct. 1st. BNA, RNO were both Shuttle America's routes.
S5, however, is not in LAX and haven't been in the RNO market for 6+ months. I have seen the S5 is doing STX in Sept on Saturdays. Who knows...

So, let me get this straight: If a scab were to say enough 'Hail Marys' and enough 'Our Fathers' he/she is back in ALPA's good graces? Hypocrisy in action? It's everywhere. I guess ALPA is no different.

AF

I don't know if that is totally true. The one guy at ASA that crossed the Eastern line is more than likely the exception to the rule. He is willing to give his time and ALPA is willing to use him. He still has to live with what he did and if he can do that then what should I have against him?

You should hold the fact that he crossed a picket line against him, shouldn't you? Isn't that considered to be the ultimate sin of any union member? If you don't make him accountable, where's the disincentive to tow the party line at ALPA (or any other union)?

I'm not trying to be facetious here. Just trying to understand where you guys are coming from.

According to some (wanagethi), I'm a scab simply because I put on a SKYW uni. If that's the case, I'd hate to be the guy you are all referencing. But it seems you are willing to give him a pass. I don't get it.

They just have to get out their checkbook. Scab dues are as good as any other dues - got to pay Duane's bills ya' know.

He doesn't care. He hangs on Joey's every word. He is much closer to those two than those that work in support of him. Let him stay until we get a contract. Salute!!

You have reached an all-time low Bizjet! Tim and I don't agree on everything, but I respect him and his opinions. I also respect what he is doing for ALL of us, including YOU! Take all the shots you want at me, but taking shots at someone on military leave is uncalled for.

Don't preach to me about military service there Joey. How many years did you serve? I did 3+ so go back to doing something you know something about like blaming ALPA, Duane Woerth, the MEC, or someone who values your opinion there Sport. Although a tour of duty in the military would probably have landed you in the brig it would also have taught you how to keep your mouth shut. Actually, you should have joined because you would not have had to pay for your training.

haha! Ouch! Joey wouldn't have made it through basic nor OTS Biz. He'd be crying for his momma, I mean his older gf!

He would probably be Sectioned 8 already. He was brought up a blue blood and never had to do anything he didn't want to do. Well on second thought he may have done something he didn't want too. He said his father who was a medical doctor was jealous of his airline career. Give me a break. His parents were both doctors so Joey was never without privilege. His rebellious attitude must have been due to the company he keeps.:D

If you ever get a chance to talk to the guy you will find out that he is harder on himself than I could ever be towards him. The guy made a mistake and has paid with his money and humility, he will tell you exactly what he did and that he was young and dumb at the time. The difference is this guy backs up what he says by doing anything he can, he gives of his personal time, to show his appriciation for people giving him a second chance. Like I said he is probably the exception to the norm.

Joey hates everyone. He has to condemn others because he is being so abused (in his own warped mind). MW owes no one an apology his work speaks volumes while little Joey fiddles. Joey is in no position to call anyone a scab. He has zero ethics and is a child of privilege. He does like Ken Crooksey and he has said that if he ever grows up he wants to be just like him. I think he is already there--Drink and give away the contract, drink and give away some more of the contract and drink a lot more and give away all of the contract.

Isn't that the truth. Duane sure likes those Continental scabs - he brags about it even.

If someone finds ALPA's moral compass, please return it to them. The folks in Herndon are lost.

They don't care about their moral compass as long as the checks keep coming in.

If you find their moral compass you should probably keep it. I think you need it much worse than ALPA does.

I don't know. I have to believe Joe's been in the company cool aid a little to long but that stuff that ALPA is dishing out is pretty deep too. Much better to sip a little here and little there, read up on the state of the market, real profit margins... And then make up one's own mind.

I know unions are needed evil's today but remember that power does corrupt. If you believe for one moment those guys aren't a bit tainted by it, you really need to study up on history. I watch the union as much as managment.

Well said Turkey. It's not that I am in the company kool aid, I just don't believe ALPA has an effective counter-strategy. If ALPA can come up with a new game plan, I will get back on board. If it is going to continue down the same failed path, then it will do so without me.

As a TSA pilot, you can give people like Bizjet an education in how ALPA deals with this issue.

Both sides serve double shots of the koolaid, best not to drink either one.....

Hey Joe...(sounds like the start to a good Jimmy song???)

Imagine a world without a national union?......I can. It sucks.

It sucks more than the one we've got.

Brand scope is perhaps the Brave New World we shoulda been chasin about sixty years ago. But ALPA National was born and raised in the regulated world and it's the beast it is for that very reason.

I'd rather deal with the world as it is, as opposed to the way I'd like it to be.

Irrelevant in my mind, given my perception of union members. He crossed a picket line. He can atone all he wants. Flagellate himself at will. Shouldn't he be nailed to a cross?

ALPA would have to provide hundreds of crosses to hang all the Continental scabs they welcomed into ALPA in 2001. He is just one individual who has made every attempt to atone for his mistakes. The CAL Scabs have spent the last 5 years trying to get rid of ALPA at CAL. If they deserve to be forgiven because of the 12+ million dollars of retained money the IACP turned over to ALPA surely one pilot can gain forgiveness by working his a$$ off for the ASA pilots. This individual had to wait 3 years to gather enough support for a majority of the ASA pilots to vote to allow him back into the union. Our pilots have spoken. JoeMerchant can't support his return because he knows that MW will produce more ALPA work in one day than Joe has in 10 years.
