Pretty remarkable though that he overcame such a phsyical disability and became a pilot! That you cant knock him for..

Well, yesterday someone elseforum was inquiring about the duties of flight engineers -- someone who had never seen a three-man crew cockpit.

Oh, well. To my grandfather, the DC3 was a basic unit of aviation measurement: bigger than a DC3, faster than a DC3, about as many passengers as a DC3, a little longer than a DC3, twice as heavy, usw. Time flies, eh?
