John Nance? His head would 'splode if he saw this video.

Not sayin' this would be a bad thing.

CAUTION: THREAD HIJACK AHEAD!

"John Nance"?

I'm not sayin' he's a total tool...but I got a Sharpie outline of him on the pegboard in my shop....

There. Was that subtle enough?

(And I still think the vid was funny...)

YEP, I remember that day very well..Still trying to get the bugs out of my eyes and nose. That was a fun ride. Looks like an old DC8-40..wow those engines are state of the art.

YOU guys are all great here. Thanks for the guys who are sticking up for me. Like I said, Its just comedy. Can't a guy have some fun. Yes the video was taken by a jump seater, and for ALL YOU GODS that dont know a DC8, Well, there OLD Planes and stuff just goes off, like the Sink Rate, when you make a Short Field Landing. The runway in the video was 6000'. I guess guys in the B777 and A340's and Such Jets don't get to fly much, as they just push the buttons. Easy Money, But you lose the seat of your pants skills. Once a freight dog, alwasy a freight dog. WE dogs get it in BY HAND Flying when others can't. Like to 100 Overcast - RVR1800 or less in heavy jets, AND YES Hand Flying. These DC8 autopilots go out quit often, and dont always work as well as hand flying on the approaches.

Look at my Cessna Video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5726382945510200350

And My Rocket Video too. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4757040929562597768&q=CANEMAN

Judging by the growth of your beard, I'd say you are (once again) unemployed, Mr. Caneman. I hope you make enough off your videos to fund your other "obligations".

John Nance and Jetdog pretty much represent the opposite ends of the spectrum. If I had to choose which one to fly a trip with, I'd have to say ...

...

Jetdog all the way.

Dude, I have to say, I almost crapped myself laughing!!!!!
I am suprised Lee did not hit you.
Keep it up bro!

Lose his medical or what?

Hi Guys, No, I did NOT lose my medical or get canned. I had a few jobs flying after Emery. Chief Pilot of a 135 operator and DC8 Captain. Theres just NO Money in it anymore, and for me, flying for a job is not a hobby. So time to move on. I miss it, but I can't give up 3/4 of my life for a seat in the sky with being compensated $ VERY $ VERY $ VERY well. Our lives go by so to fast, you know how it goes. How many events and family functions have we missed by being pilots. Now Im a FULL TIME Actor, Comic, and Musican. And Still having Fun. 14,000 hours, perhaps I will teach sim part time or CFI part time. Still current. Im very happy I had the chance to fly the DC8. Just sorry I bypassed the DC10 at EWA. I was going for QOL. Over and Out.

I like the hair....and the batting gloves are a personal touch.....
