LOL

This coming from a loser like you that works at a place that doesn't pay health benefits to new pilots. LOL

CAL is soooo 'the MESA of the majors.' LOL

Yeah, but you would still want this johnson.

Continental soooo own's it's route's and airplanes. I have been here for the last 4 years, having been furloughed from AA after having been there for 2+ years. None of my AA friends have anything nice to say about what is going on over there much like us over here.

CAL is far from perfect, but as a guy just north of 1000 off the bottom of the seniority list there aren't many other better airlines to be with right now. At 4th year, I am starting to see a legitimate income and am certainly making more than I did at 4th year at what was then TWA.

The issue of non-insurance and low first year pay are absolutely unacceptable and I hope to see that eradicated in this contract negotiation (non-insurance anyway). As far as first year pay goes, I have never gone to work for an airline based on the first year pay rate. As for your staying with XJT, obviously do what you think is right, but don't kid yourself about the degree your company control's it's own future- as this last year has demonstrated (i.e. XJT's California odyssey).

The problem with making a career in the regional's is that one cannot count on one's route structure remaining intact over the long term due to mainline 'whipsawing' one airline against another and also mainline reclaimation of route's using bigger, mainline jets. I don't know what your plans are, if they are not CAL that is fine and perhaps will be shown to be prudent, but don't get caught up being the proverbial big fish in a small pond.

As you excessively say, LOL (whatever the hell that means).

It's funny to watch how many still fall for Ponoco's little pokings. It's been mentioned before that Ponoco is actually a UPS pilot.

Don't really understand his/her beef with CAL. But it's entertaining I guess.

...and to think this turd is flying boxes around all over america...in planes that say "synchronizing the world of commerce" at least their uniforms don't show the skidmarks that build up over the nighthours.

Man, I could use a back rub or a pillow bite....

Yeah thats probably true there. LOL

Or should I say, you do have a point there. In more ways than one. LOL

Just curious, but why do you think Pocono is a UPS pilot?

If true, then that is really lame. Either way, Pocono needs to get a life.

and then again maybe Pocono, deep down really loves CAL, is devastated she was turned down there and is trying to inspire us with here constant pokings to get best contract possible?

ASA, just sawy your post. I was Eagle directly after college for 14 months then went to ASA in 2000 for a quick Brasilia upgrade. I liked those places too, but CAL is way better.

Also, compared to my friends at DAL ans SWA, I like my job at CAL better too. I fly a lot less and have some better trips when I do. My SWA equal makes more monty, but still flies a lot more than I do, probably 10 times more than me.

So where is the problem.

BTW, whichever XJT guy is pissed off, oh well, that is the truth, most of you were PFTers.... I remember being on this board in 1998 and people were pissed at you guys then and others for PFT.

I had a different name then on this board.....

Starting to make some sense now.

I know several guys that followed the exact same path as you...Eagle -->ASA -->CAL, and most of them feel the exact same way about CAL that you do.

I do believe that ASA was PFT along the same time as XJT.

True. And both cancelled their PFT programs within about 6 mos. of each other.

FWIW, the majority of former Continental Express/XJT pilots that have been hired at CAL since SFR came aboard (actually since hiring resumed at all) DID NOT PFT.

I do find a certain irony though in a guy that seems to be all about himself taking shots at people who PFT'd though.
