Any one know what the junior bases are these days for Skywest?

Also, how long have FO's been sitting reserves.

Any talk on the property of expanding to have a bigger national footprint and larger aircraft in the fleet like 737's or Airbus?

Thanks,

No Airbi or 737s. Not going to happen.

On the jet, MKE and ORD are real junior, but most places can be held pretty quick. Reserve could be a few weeks or a few months, depending on how junior your base is. Most junior at MKE is a May 28th hire - figure 3 months from hire to IOE complete and thats roughly a week. Again, thats on the RJ.

If you're a CFI with no turbine or part 121 time, plan on going to the bro.

We're getting a bunch of Airbuses, but only if we deal the company an ACE(hint, hint, union vote) and remain competitive:)

Why is this not in the Regionals Section?!

because skywest, eagle, expressjet, mesa etc are in the national category and have over $1bln in revenue.

do you whine to airlinepilotcentral.com as they classify skywest, eagle, expressjet, mesa, etc as Nationals?

this is the LCC/Nationals area.

What are the chances of getting SLC (CRJ) out of training if one was to start next month? Thanks

Not particularly great. There are currently 64 FO's waiting to transfer to SLC, not including transitions off the EMB. Estimate six months at minimum, as that is about how far off transfers are being awarded at this time.

DEN, SFO, ORD... but as is usually the case, the easiest bases to commute into and out of tend to attract the most pilots. SLC and DEN have a huge number of commuters out of the west coast. Few people get the base they really want right out of training. Most of us had to struggle with commuting one or more legs to reserve in less desirable domiciles for some period of time. For an average class, you can most likely count on initially getting awarded FAT (or a tiny expensive SoCal base) for the EMB and MKE/ORD on the CRJ.
