It's true, Skywest pilots do make more money than ASA pilots. Even though ASA pilots have a higher pay structure on the 70, ASA does not have the profit sharing which puts Skywest at the advantage.
JA is just waiting for them to stop the union drive and watch, they will get a pay cut and omg you'll see some pi$$ed off pilots then.
John p is right about that.

I heard that the only reason SKYW bought ASA was to increase diversity.

Skywest never wanted ASA. It's a fact! It was forced on then by Delta. Delta wanted rid of ASA and told Skywest that to make it more attractive to a potential buyer, they would also offer the SLC flying too as part of the package. It may of been a bluff but it would of seriously hurt Skywest if they had lost the all of the SLC flying and Skywest was then forced to buy ASA to protect itself. It looks like it was a good deal after all for Skywest.

Make NO MISTAKE about it. Skywest is advertising a job fair for pilots on 9/28 at the cobb galleria. Take to mean whatever you like but I for one think that SKW wants to open a pilot base here. Otherwise it would be an ASA job fair.

If SKYW opened a base everywhere they've had a job fair there would be 20 or 30 more bases.

Unless ASA is doing a lot of hiring they probably don't need a job fair to dig up some applicants.

Then how do you explain Popeyes vs Wendy's on Councourse C? It's not the talent pool, it's the lack of talent in ASA managment.

It's simple. They need to be properly motivated. Workers in 'da ATL neeeds some RESPECT before they'll work. Pay them well and treat them well and they'll work hard. To bad ASA doesn't get that..
