.77 at cruise happens more times than not. You're an ATR guy right? What do you know about the RJ? Only what you hear.

Dick Gozinya

What an idiot.

I flew the CRJ for 3 years at ASA. I'd say I know quite a bit. And the only times I ever saw .77 were up north, in the winter, with an airplane with fresh engines.

I love how you Jet Guys assume ATR pilots are a bunch of stupid crop dusters or something.

I used to_________. Who cares what you used to do. You're a crop duster? I never assumed that at all. You don't know what you are talking about. I don't care if you sat in the right seat with your thumb up your a$$ for 3 years, you don't know what you are talking about,

Dam crop duster,

What an f'ing dumbass. So now FOs are stupid too huh? Guess you were born in the Left Seat of the Mighty CRJ? I hope I grow up to be just like you Mr Super Pilot.

You could have just admitted you stepped on your crank with a stupid comment, but instead, you decide to outdo yourself. Why not just gouge your other eye out now. Go ahead. I await your stupid, ridiculous response. Dumbass!!!!

What a retard. I hope I grow up to be as cool as a Mighty CRJ Captain someday. Judging by your 5 posts telling me what an idiot I am, clearly I got under your skin. Mission accomplished.

Clearly, your extreme reaction is your way of compensating for something. Is the wee-wee just a little to small to keep the ladies satisfied? Is that why you need to brag about being a Mighty Jet Pilot? Do you wear your mirrored Ray-Ban Aviators in bars too?

As they say, what a tool.

Well, Dick, apparently JP's 3 years in the right seat taught him more about the CRJ than you know, because he's absolutely right. Trying to get the -200 to go faster than .75M in anything other than extreme cold is just about impossible. I don't know what airplane you've been flying at .77M in the summer, but it sure ain't a -200.

Don't know what he knows, but loads have been in the mid range 20-30 on my airplane and have been getting .77 regularly.

I did. What's your point.

So did I. Some Riddle grads wear the Flight Team Leather Jacket and sunglasses to bars and brag about the Performance Envelope of the Mighty CRJ to the ladies. Some of us don't. Just guessing that Captain Richard Cranium is more the former than the latter.

I hate to get in the middle of this love fest. I realize is not possible on every flight, but it is not impossible to get the -200 up .77. Of course, the ones with B engines are easier than the A's.

Feathers ruffled? Hardly. You wanna see feathers ruffled, go back and read just about every thread relating to ASA and/or SkyWest & ALPA over the course of the last year. I'm just pointing out that some of you guys have no idea how stupid you really sound.

As far as my name, I prefer my anonymity on a public forum...primarily because I personally know members of management where I work that read this stuff and I like to keep them guessing. More importantly, PBR has my name, as we have exchanged PM's in the past...and therefore he knows who wrote it. And that was despite the fact that he refused to give me his name privately.

USC, when I feel the need to address you privately, I will share my name.

Creative spelling!!!! :p
Wally,
I have never had any sort of "private" PMs from you. I spend time yanking your chain because its like a boy yanking on the pigtails of a girl, you will never know what its like to be a line pilot and as such you have no clue as to how our lives are. I do expect you work an 8 hour shift, have regular breaks(downtime?), and the only time you see snow or freezing rain is on a computer screen, or when you go snowboarding. I invite you to come spend a 15+ hour day dealing with freezing rain, freezing fog and snow, all on the same day, toss in a divert to an airport off schedule, then talk to a scheduler who says "at least your day tomorrow is only 13:45". Guess what dispatchers and pilots are similar in many ways, when a pilot screws up, he may die, when a dispatchers screw up a pilot may die too. As a freight dog I self dispatched, when you dispatch do you self fly? Thought not. Go back to the 'puter and I will go back to the real mans work, flying the line. You are a pogue, nothing more or less, back office support staff.

So, you are the former Capt Dick Cranium? So that explains everything. Did you recieve any Comat containing Kool-Aid yet. Darn it, I sent it to the wrong person. My bad, I should have known better.

Oh Yeahhhhhh!

While we're talking about Kool-Aid, were any of you scared by the Kool-Aid man as kids?

Those old commercials where the kids were enjoying a nice cup of Kool Aid and suddenly that big red pitcher busted through the wall and shouted "Oh Yeahhhhh!" used to give me nightmares.

I always found it pretty easy to get the -200 up to .77...if you kept a lot of speed on the wing in the climb (300kts to .74m) and it wasn't above ISA+10 aloft. At ISA, .80m wasn't out of the question if you had a long cruise segment to accelerate.

Would you get there at a max gross takeoff in the summer cruising in the mid 30s? Probably not...but if wasn't your Commute Leg who cares about flying that fast?

That said, I wish my current airplane would cruise .74.........

Guys,guys,guys,
Can we get back to chucking rocks at the SKYW dickscratchsers, pilots is pilots and dickscratchers are pogues. Lets all get the rocks downrange towards the appropriate targets!

Which is pretty much what I've been saying. Unlike Captain Richard Cranium who cruises his Mighty CRJ-200 at .77 "all the time".

duh, both of you?

I haven't had the opportunity yet. But I do have a list of many the 35%ers and OC members that I keep in my flight bag next to the scab list. Actually lots of us do. They're circulating around. Think of it as a fly list and a no fly list.

That's funny, cuz I just flew on one of your flights.
You have a list with over 500 names on it. That calls for some Kool-Aid.

You flew on my plane or on an ASA flight?

Real leverage comes when you control the flying and it can't be given to someone else....None of us have that at the regional level..... ALPA or not.....

Your at XJT, and you were penalized because your compensation and workrules went to the top of the pack..... As was CMR, ALG, PDT, ACA, Air Wisc., etc.

If you ALPA cheerleaders want real leverage, you will have to convince ALPA national and the mainline MEC's that there has to be true "brand scope"....

Don't confuse "leverage" with "ALPA membership"....they aren't the same.....

I know your pet peeve is the brand scope and you make really good points with that. But you cannot deny there is more leverage at one place compared to another when looking at the overall performance, health, and future of a company. That is all I'm saying.

By the way, it was later told to us that CAL was going to take that flying away from us regardless because they wanted to diversify their regional feed to prevent a Comair type situation. As a matter of fact, we have managed to increase our pay rates and improve work rules twice since CAL announced they were taking 25% of their flying away from us. There had to be some leverage there to do that, dont you think?

And this is leverage that Skywest pilots dont have regardless of how much you minimize that leverage.

Guys, guys, guys...this only came up because I asked if the 200 was slower than the 700/900 and therefore the BHO was a wash. Is this the case or not?
