Ill give you that one but skywest buying horizons assets just seems too extreme. What would happen to them?

Same thing that happened to ACA and Alleghany, and is currently happening to Comair...

Would happen? How about is happening? How about Horizon jets, on the Horizon ramp, with Skywest crews? The only thing that's keeping what's left of Horizon alive is the inability to find someone to take the Q400 leases off their hands.

Nah... Skywest will buy Comair's assets, then offer preferential hiring to Comair pilots. Sorry guys. Sucks.

Maybe SkyWest is just following the lead of the legacy carriers. Buying other carriers and merging them to form a larger, stronger airline.

The last time a regional airline successfully made a name out of itself by absorbing as many airlines as it could in the shortest amount of time, was Allegheny, and well, look where they are now...

In this case I dont really see Skywest trying to make a name for itself, but just grab as much market share in the regional fee for departure game as possible. With only 3 main players in the regional industry (RAH, Skyw, Pncl) they will be able to gain leverage and charge more for their service. I can guarantee the price of regional feed will always be juuust a bit less than if a mainline carrier was to do it themselves.

Don't think so... They are still choking on xjt... First loss in 25+ years... Doubt they are looking at anything right now. In 2 years maybe..

Ya and what a shocker JCBA negotiations just started! Amazing what that LOSER CHIP CHILDS the accountant can pull off.
