Bad intel?

"Rumor control is that two Skyway pilots were at the hotel bar a bit on the late side in CLE. ... Intel has it the pilots terminated. ..."
Sounds like a case of bad intel. As far as I know, it didn't happen. Not, at least, involving a SYX crew.

Because I have family that commutes between CLE and MKE for business....

that's why.

Are you in a postion to add any constructive information? If not, I will investigate it further myself, to include a call to the company.

thanks.
"Constructive"...sounds like lawyer talk to me.

The things happen....I am not a Skyways guy but I am sure 99.9 percent of the pilot group would be smarter than that....If it happened and was reported then it WILL be investigated....I would not worry about flying with them, I would worry about the Uninsured, Unlicensed drunk in the beater car driving next to you.......

Driving next to you! How about driving opposite on you at 50-70 MPH with only a thin line between you and his/her drunk a$$!
I think I will fly!

If there was any truth to this, it would've been all over the evening news. When those pilots were caught here in MKE it was on all the news channels. Now that that one is shot down, next rumor anyone....

What? No apologies RS6? Post complete crap and walk away? Hey moron, next time why don't you do ALL of your homework before trying to defame a group of professionals on a public forum. That original post is as bad as someone armchairing an accident before the NTSB gives their say. If this is too much, do us a favor and don't post anymore. That is all.

Maybe you're thinking of the American Connection incident in MKE last month?

Anyway, if you're going to come on here and ask this question about SkyWay, the responsible thing to do is provide some source for the rumor. You owe that much to the pilot group at SkyWay, the company, the industry, the members here, and--quite frankly--your "concerned family members."

To aid in your pursuit of the truth, here's a link to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. If there was even a modicum of truth to this, they would run with it.

You can never trust the Journal-Sentinel to run important stories, but I agree this one would have been pounced on. The JS loves aviation related stuff.

It's the only way to get over all the dumb Fuc$'s you have to deal with on a daily basis!!!! Grab the bottle of Jim Beam and grab the wife's head for a nice blow!!!!! Then I finally feel like life is normal again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe you refer to "the wife" like that. Yes we all have bad days, but if the only way you can deal with the job is to drink and treat your loved one like an object, in my humble opinion, I think you need to change professions. Regarding the post, I agree, flightinfo.com is no place for unsubstantiated rumors.

Messages/Rumors/Complete crap

The last guy had it right- take anything you read here with not a grain of, but at least a half pound of salt.
Any time I want a good laugh, I go to these message boards. On them, I can find out what company from Rangoon is buying United, how many SR-71's Delta will use on their new Toyko-Sheboygan service, how many jets Mesa is selling to go back to props, the REAL reason my airline posted a loss this quarter, and all other kinds of garbage.
You have to remember that while many pilots read and post here, there's lots of other people that have little to no idea of the inner workings of the industry. Something we as pilots hear around work that is dismissed out of hand ("Hey, did you hear Midwest is going to get gates in Honolulu?") might be taken seriously by somebody else. There's no doubt newspeople, private pilots, airline captains, and even that kid down the block that plays Flight Simulator 2004 too darn much that all come here to read the verbal excrement that gets splattered here at times.
How many times have you gone in to work all worked up because some scrub who CLAIMS to have been working for your company for 3 months posts something like "I heard we're furloughing everybody!". Of course, he probably heard it from "a senior captain."
Point is, don't believe everything you read here. In fact, believe very little of it.
If you can read these messages with that in mind, it's actually quite fun to check out the boards. Just don't make any career decisions based on anything you read here.

We're getting gates in Honolulu? Outstanding! Maybe we should bid on the Tokyo-Sheboygan SR71 flights. I mean, we ARE Wisconsin's home-state airline! :D

Yeh I agree with jerky. Just one thing though. My advice is that anyone that wants to work for Skyway or is working for here that they should find a new job. I heard from a very senior capt that whether this is true or not, it will be the end of us.

this "rumor" is exactly that

having spoken to those in a position to know, i can assure you that this whole story is exactly that, a story...NOT TRUE !!! at all......i'm not sure how this story got started but no SYX pilot has been termed.

It has been verified by management that the rumor is false. I believe RS6 owes us Skyway pilots an apology for posting this false rumor on flightinfo.com and questioning our pilot group professionalism.

Peace
