just curious Skyway pilots....?

Do you guys have the MX problems that we see ACA have or is it jst ACA.

We see the DO-Jet broken all the time in BOS and CVG..? what gives?

I'm an ACA guy, but according to our management we have the highest dispatch rate in the world with the Do-jets. Before we get too excited, this is just comparing Do-jet operators which there isn't too many out there.

I agree with what Illinois boy said..... Hey Dana, Hey Joe!

Yeah,

sorry, my apologies, that wasn't a stab at ACA.

In CVG, they are coming and going, it seems at a good rate. I guess I was just concerned if it was a general aircraft, or common problem throughout the fleet type.?

good luck though, especially with "I air"!!

I have heard from a couple pilots that the boots are not favorable...take it easy.

ilinipilot is a loser and doesn't know what he's talking about! :p Kidding man! Call me I'm in MKE for the night and you never answer anymore.

Anyone that can keep those things flying with any reliability ought to get a Golden Wrench award from the FAA. MMMM german enginering.

Got a buddy that starts new hire class on Monday, doesn't know the aircraft yet. Sounds like the hiring is starting...

Yeah, hiring has started. My guess is if you are hired by July, you'll upgrade in a year......or less. Anyone after July will have a longer upgrade. We're getting these jets, unless Delta is playing a very cruel joke on us. The ink just has not dried yet. Anyway, the reliability has been good for us. Being the launch customer with a for now out of production airplane, our mech. have done a great job. I bet it's no better or worse than the F-100's still bouncing around without much support.

I start class on Monday as well. From everything that I have been hearing, they are going to continue hiring for a while. I beleive that there are 24 to 27 people in my class. We are going to bid on the plane in class, but I'll be happy with either one. Just curious, what a/c would you pick if you had the choice?

Just Curious

What do you think the upgrade time will be on the jets and props if they get the delta deal?
Ive heard a few things: the props will be around half a year and Ive heard the jets could be the same but ive also heard that they would be longer, at least a year and a half.

Also, are you seat-locked in either plane and if so how long for each?

Thanks in advance.

Prahler, Im in the mon class as well. Ill see you threre!

Anyone know what the bases for Skyway are?
At present the only base is MKE. Soon opening in CVG we hope...

Upgrades will likely start picking up even faster. The way I see it, anyone hired in this June class, and I imagine those in a July class will be the cutoff for fast upgrades. 6mos. to a year, no longer. We'll have about 50 airplanes by early next year, meaning around 275-300 capt. and 250 fo. Roughly. Right now we are just over 250 pilots.

This class, I hear, will be 27. 17 jet, 10 beech. I think they are still doing seniority by pulling a number out of a hat. Your seniority drives your equipment bid, I would think the top 17 will bid the jet. Right now, it really doesn't matter, upgrades are going real quick in both airplanes.

Hey Prop,

Just to let ya know I did get the new Velvet Revolver CD "Contraband" nice tunes. See Ya online

Those numbers for upgrade may be a tad optimistic. Skyway has never staffed more than 5 capytans per aircraft. The number has hovered closer to 4.5 or 4.8 over the years. Not tryin to split hairs, but 45 aircraft @4.5 capts = 175. Whatever happens, I am rooting for you guys. No one in the regional industry has had more sh1t sandwiches than Skyway pilots(Insert timmy boy quote demanding concessions here). You guys deserve everything you get.

Hey Propsync, Jobear,

How are things going for you guys these days? Propsync, did you get that type rating yet? Try not to give those Fo's to much of a hard time like you did to all the captains you used to fly with :)
I have been on reserve since the middle of May and I am sitting reserve for the month of June. It looks like I will be getting a line in July. Tell all the boys I said hi !

Have a great day!
