Their aircraft have already been scattered.
 
once an operating certificate remains unactive for 30 days, it becomed invalid. Therefore, skybus would need to go through the whole certification process again. hence, no chance in hell they would come back.

their business model was horrible. no chance at success even at $80/gal.
 
I jump seated on them a few times a month and they had the friendliest crews ever including the pilots. I was even going to apply there once I met the minimums.....

Consider yourself lucky.
