I was looking at their prices. They promise 10 seats on each airplane that will go for 10 bucks. Every flight. Some of their fares are over 300 however. Plus they do not connect out of Columbus onto their other destinations. You have to go get your bag and check back in. On the website they even say that it is pretty tight doing that way. May they be destined for failure.

Quite a rash generalization. All 2,000+ pilots who, at some point in their career, walked through the doors at ACA are now turds at Skybus.

FAs are quitting as fast as they train them, working too hard for $9/hr.

Supposed to get stock options, but nothing in paper until a visit to the chief pilot to sign an agreement regarding not trying to bring a union in the property. No body is signing this.

Moral is already falling.

Anybody surprised by this?

Hey farm boy. Hate to break it to you but ACA did away with PFT about a decade before it went under.

You sure are angry for a guy that hides his past & present in his (her?) profile. I think you got turned down by ACA and Skybus and had to buy your type at Mesa. It must be tough going through life with such anger. Good luck, go slop your hogs and quit molesting the sheep.
 
I see those skybus folks there in CMH quite often. Wonder how much less the stair thing is vs having a real jetway.........probably cheaper right now, but when someone falls on those stairs and sues skybus, I am sure that the cost of having a jetway would be cheaper.

Could it be that I WAS a Blueridger who DIDN'T pay for training while you did? Just because guys like you have low self esteem and think it's ok to go to work for substandard wages, the bargaining position of all pilots everyhwere are lessened. Based on your profile I imagine you're wearing blue gloves now or are driving to CMH. Lets get one thing straight. All of you TURDS are essentailly justifiying PFT and working for substandard wages, let's go down the list again,

at Scumbus,

you have to bring your own laptop,

Now, here is a little f'rinstance, how long would it be if things keep going like they are at JB until Barger says, all new hires have to buy there own laptops. Anyone who thinks it can't happen is a fool.

The mentality of TURDS like Ralph and the rest of the SCUMBUS training department is basically one of, I care about no one but myself, that same mentality is also held by most scabs. People with this same type of mentality thought it was OK to buy a job way back in the day, as soon as airline managers realized there were too many pilots chasing too few jobs, they exploited this mental weakness. Soon, more airlines began to use PFT. ACA, then CONEX and on and on.

At scumbus, here is the pay,

Capt pay is $68.42/hr, FO $31.58/hr
1/2 pay for deadheads
A319 training is 6-week course in Miami
Salary begins once training is complete


That Captain pay is HALF what it should be. Because TURDS like you go to work at places like this, all pilots everywhere are harmed.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, we don't exist in a vacumn. What we do affects us all.

If Scumbus continues to grow, airline mangement will again see just what some pilots will put up with, or go to work for, and exploit that during the next round of contract talks when times get tough.

Just how stupid are you guys?

And another thing, please understand, I'm not angry at all. I'm just calling a spade a spade. Skybus pilots, and those that have in the past or now actually PFT are the ones that

"cant handle the truth"

You are hurting yourselves, and you are hurting all pilots everywhere. You're just to stupid to realize it.

I don't work at Skybus farm boy and never paid for any types or training in my entire career. Thats all 8 of them.

At the end of Indy I left commercial aviation for the corporate training world. If you want a Gulfstream V type and have $67K to spend I can help you further your PFT ways. I'm sure you can handle a little 'ole G550, right?

Skybus is a pantload! I give em 6 to 8 months.

Six to eight months and they will be better than double in size,(65 confirmed a/c orders in the next 48 months w/ a special 12 year manufactures maint. plan~ this is what will give them the lowest seat cost ever in the us aviation history to date). I'm going to be enjoying the left seat of an brand new A319 inside of 8 months.( if I accept the job offer.) Am I selling out the industry because I'm willing to fly for 80k? (with profit sharing to follow). Have I ever paid for training or bought a type rating? Do I bad mouth fellow pilots for being part of airlines that contract themselves out to fly for the majors? (now who's really the whore?) Do I only have 6k hrs of flight experience like farm boy?
Do I really care about a few peoples negative opinion is of this great new upstart is?(only enough to set the story straight). The answer to all the above is a big fat negative.
Oh yeah, BTW load factor has been roughly 80% or better ...............

I think F&F hasnt had any action in awhile , he vents his frustrations here on this board....
Evrybody gets turned down at an airline interview from time to time, F&F prob. just gets turned down each and every time he asks for date.... thats my guess.
