You seem to have quite a close source for Skybus there falcon. First the website launch date nailed and now the tix sales....45,000 since 2pm?? Did you hear if most were originators from CMH and what city is the most popular to travel to?

Just by looking at the fare increases between the cities on the web site....looks like BUR, OAK, and FLL are the favs right now. Not too many biting on PSM, BLI, or MCI yet.

One guy wrote on airliners.net that they live in the Seattle area and are booking a trip to Columbus just because it's so low that they might as well see a little bit of Ohio. I think you'll get a fair share of people that will think along the lines of, "the fares are so low, I can't afford NOT to go!"

I can't believe these people are serious:

4. Don’t call us.

We don’t have a phone number. Seriously. We’d love to chat, but those phone banks are expensive. And a good website like skybus.com is even more convenient.

This "airline" is just pathetic.

Why have one when you can do everything you need to do through the web site or their kiosks? If they did everything the "traditional" way then no one would be able to get these low fares. No smoke in mirrors with this company.
There's nothing wrong with just laying it out there for people....this is what we got, take it or leave it.

I'll leave it, thanks.

Like or not buys, Skybus is here to stay. They are owned by the Nationwide insurance company, and they have a lot of $$$ to spend.

BLI?? WTFO

No no no... you mean, alot of money to lose! I think that's more appropriate. In anycase, I can take a joke, but not when it's my profession.

Even though it would be nice to talk to someone on the phone if you have a question, when is the last time you called into an airline reservation center and got a clear, english speaking person on the other line? Furthermore, when have you not had to hold for what seems like 6 days and 7 nights? As long as they would reply to any questions in a timely matter, I dont think the website approach is a bad idea.

Everytime I call AirTran reservations I get a friendly person with an American accent answering the phone within a couple of minutes. Sometimes you just want to talk with an actual person instead of a damned machine.
