Hey STARVINGCFI

Your first post honestly made me laugh out loud!

Archer, just change your screen name and post something else, no biggie............we've all done it.

Seriously, this board is called "the Hanger" (speaking of women), it's an aviation message board, that is what people want to chat about when they come here.

We all appreciate your invitation to drool over a Citation X and toss a couple back.........and maybe even get to know one another just a little better, I'm just not sure if that really flies here. (giggle)

BTW were you drinking when you posted that first one, I've posted one night when I was in la-la land and read it the next morning and was shocked at how many bad remarks I recieved. At the time I thought it was an incredible post and everyone would reply and say " hey, what a great thread".

They didn't.

Anyway like I said, just change your screen name.

I don't think so...

jesus you guys are funny. i love this place. thanks phish. i just think it's funny that archer takes such offense to everyone disliking his post. chill out a little man. roll with the punches.

As the Beck song goes....

"I'm a winner. Things are gonna change, I can feel it!"

I was going to tell you guys to stop picking on this kid and to cut this him a break, but then I read his sig...

"This is Maverick, supersonic, will be there in 30 seconds", "This is Archer, subsonic, will be there in 65 minutes"

'nuff said.

Flame on.

Chunk

Added later:

"Time: 29.6"

Point SIX???? Dude....

Archer - in all honesty man...just relax and be yourself. We all give each other sh*t around here every once in awhile. Like the others said, just roll with it and dish it back!

You guys are just ruining the image that I had of the pilot community.

Archer...

Look man...You erased your sig because I made one comment? You need to thicken your skin a bit. Aviation doesn't play gentle.

Women suck, but not often enough!!!:D

I've made the mistake of telling my wife about "Predatory Female", man that's not a book that I will EVER discuss with a woman ever again.

Moreover . . . .

Pilots are just like everyone else. They have the same concerns and worries. They like to talk about the same things. They enjoy the same things. They do the same things. Being a so-called "professional man/woman" or a so-called "blue collar" worker changes nothing.

Substitute "auto mechanic," "ironworker," "doctor," "lawyer," accountant," "radio announcer," "paralegal," or any other occupation for "pilot" and the sentence will read the same and convey the same meaning. Having done the last two along with "pilot," I can assure you that it's true.

Do you really believe that all pilots talk about is flying? It's true that they spend a great deal of their time talking about flying, but also work, work concerns, mutual acquaintances, other people they know, their interests, families and money. Just like everyone else. Think about it. Pilots are people, just like everyone else.

we are just nomads

The real issues with pilots are 1) missing family2)avoiding predatory women that want to ruin your life when you just wanted to go to the bar for a drink3) Dealing with FA's, both types male and female and inbetween.4)Schedules 5) Commuting6)bidding7)trip and places you have been8)Hassles with other pilots and gettting along with your crew, especially when you feel like crap.8)Contract issues9)training headaches-like 3AM sim periods. Basically if you are not careful the lifestyle that goes along with this nomatic life could be really rotten. But we do it because we love to fly. Archer you need to go read "Fate is the Hunter" and the "High and the Mighty" then come back and maybe you will understand where we are all coming from.

You want to get to know me read the 961 post on this board, you'll have a pretty good idea what I am like.

S-Secure, I will never go on strike.

C-Competent-always study and do great on checkrides don't need a union to babysit me.

A-Airline

B-Builder

Research this one that will keep you busy.

I don't know where you ppl are coming from, but I post at another pilot's message board, one more frequented by student pilots as well as CFIs and what not, and all they did is help me out with my questions, never complain once, and acted very friendly. They talk about their daily lives and I feel at home there.

I like this board as there are a lot of exprienced/high time pilots, and it has a large volume of posts/day.

Yet, as far as friendlyness, this thread really messed the image...

And my sig has always been there, I just felt like not having it on that post...

Archer
