What a joke this is, so slow you can't use or server crashes! Also like we thought everyday has a red arrow by it so you can't drop anything due to insufficient reserve coverage. NICE!

As per the SAPA forums, even if you have no red arrow- denied due to coverage. I wonder if anything got approved before the crash.

Oh well, at least I'm not trying to print a release...

I bet it will be working soon. They have to start making everyone happy, after all there is a union drive/vote happening. If ALPA is so bad, why will mgmt do ANYTHING to keep them off the property????

I just looked up October. Guess what........Below min coverage for every day in October. Can't be much of a QOL improvement until staffing is brought up.

Worked for me, and I was able to drop a local I didn't want into open time. Plenty of reserve coverage right now on SLC RJ captains. Incredibly slow however. It seems there still using those surplus computer servers they got back in the 90's.

Worked for me. The trip I dropped into open time was already picked up by another crewmember, opening up a reserve for the same time I requested.

Alpa

-ALPA can help in situations like this. Despite what Joe Merchant whines about. Our TA on scheduling at ASA would really solve a lot of scheduling problems-and our scheduling section now is better than some majors.
-Get ALPA-you won't regret it.......

-Ignore Joe Merchant-he is an RJDC loser who wants to continue to live in some strange parallel universe where RJ guys make exactly what 777 guys make due to "equal representation.".......
-Whatever

Slow computers at SkyWest? NOOO WAI!! Ask me about the eternal refresh!

-ALPA can help in situations like this.
Yes, because ALPA has a team of IT professionals standing by to upgrade the servers the exact moment that winning vote comes through.
Did you even read the posts in this thread?

Vote in the union, see how JA likes that. Your lines won't get any better. See how that jackas$ likes it.

Skid Mark Plus... brought to you by those who've given us such wonderful programs such as Pilots Butf***d by SkyWest

I'm surprised that you ASA guys are pro ALPA. It's Bull#@%! you dont have a contract yet. How long has it been 5 years. ALPA is not on the top of my list right now until they represent regionals better.

Talking to a United Crew. They said there was talk over there about trying to get rid of ALPA. I know I know talk is cheap. None the less still interesting.

us air is trying to decertify alpa... the old us air pilot group.. its in the phoenix paper

a group of UAL pilots is also investigating the idea of de-certifying ALPA

Probably because they tried to negotiate a merger with the west guys using doh, and the west guys weren't going to have anything to do with that. So it went to an arbtrator (binding) and the results weren't what the east guys wanted. So I guess they will take their toys out of the sand box and go home cause they can't have their way? Makes sense to me..................

SkyWest has been without a contract for 35 plus years.

ASA's biggest issue is they are owned by a company that owns two pilot groups. But that is ALPA's fault. The problem for ASA is most SkyWest pilots would sell their sister and mother and first born to get a fast RJ upgrade and get the puck out of there. But that is ALPA's fault, too.

:smash:

Is this program developed by AOS (the same company that designed your PBS software) or was it developed in-house by Skywest?

You seemed to know very little... ASA has a contract it has not been amended yet.

And yes, your talk is cheap.

Skywest uses AOS.

I know that...what I'm asking is if this Sked+ program was written by AOS, or if it was developed in-house by SKW.

I'd also like to know how it compares to FLICA, if anybody can make that comparison...

people have already had success dropping trips to open time without having to pick something up. this was not possible prior to Sched+.

Sked+, I believe, was created in-house by IT.

IMHO, the interfaces we have via SWOL are much better than FLICA.

Ask your SAPA representative. They should have a line by line comparison.

NOT!!!!

EMAIL and TEXT messaging alerts based upon unlimited combinations of 31 variables?

FLICA would not have worked for SkyWorst because it publishes the number of reserves and the min required not some cute arrow.

FLICA would have provided to much information to the pilot group about the PLANNED short staffing model of SkyWorst management.

Think Brad just got a bigger bonus this year because block hours increased but overall staffing didn't!

Have you ever used Flica? It's a good system. Even at Asa, where we only use 10% of it's capabilities. If you want to know what Flica will really do, talk to an Airtran or Jetblue pilot.

If the scheduling software is anything like OurASA (also created by the SKW IT staff), I want nothing to do with it.

Ive already dropped a trip and put others on the swap board.. I will drop another tonight- it looks like it works to me.. obviously if many people are trying to drop trips on the same day they wont have much luck because the reserves will be depleted. I think its a great program yeah it has some issues that would be nice for us to have access to but its far better than the old system.

I think s/he means it has better colors.
