I have a buddy who just started there. Everyone is home based and airlined to meet the aircraft, FO is $45k, CA is $70K on the Hawker, schedule is 9 on/5 off with 8/6 "promised" in the future. 15-20 ex-Netjets Hawker 1000s on the way supposedly.

Does anyone have any information about Seagrave Aviation in North Carolina? QOL, pay, etc.

If you did a search, you would not have to ask that question!!!!!
When you have done the SEARCH,get a six-pack,while you are sipping, you can mull over all of the posts and decide if you want to go any further with these people!!!

Yeah, I did the search, but anything substantive was at least a year old. I was hoping for some more recent info. or to hear from some seagrave people.

I saw that they were hiring on 350.com. A friend of mine has a friend that works over there (I know, 'a friend of a friend). He stated that the skd is 9 on 5 off with medical, dental, 401k, home based, and $280 per day for F.O.s with most folks flying about 18-20 days per month (if they want to pick up more days). Per diem is $45 Per day domestic and $80 per day international.

Hope that helps...

Do they pay for the 9 days on or just the days that you fly? Also is there any company match for the 401K? Thanks.

It's my understanding that they match 25% up to 6% employee contribution, with 6 yr vesting.

I have a friend who worked there recently and you will be lucky to get 5 days a month off. Those guys fly more than any other place Ive ever heard of. I would leave aviation before I took a job at a place like that, but that's just me.

I need to make a correction to the FO pay, it is NOT $280 per day but only $215 per day, but that is for every day on duty -not just flying days...sorry

Not sure about pay or schedule, but I can confirm that they are getting the 1000s. Three are in ICT right now getting finished. Seagrave was purchased by some big investor.

Seagrave

Any insight on the interview process? Time from submit resume, when your contacted, the interview itself, until hear the words YOUR HIRED ?? THANKS in advance....

Their new POI just have me a FAA checkride last week and he told me that Goldman-Sachs has either completely bought them or purchased a large stake in them. They are planning in adding something like 25+ aircraft. I believe it was a bunch of Hawkers and Gulfstreams.

I also found out from a buddy of mine that Capt pay is set at $360 per duty day. Obviously, the more you are on duty, the more you make. 18 days on duty per month would equate to $77,760 and 20 days would equal $86,400 per year. Of course, that is a lot of days away from home.

Goldman-Sachs?

Last I heard they were heavily in debt and didn't own any of their aircraft. Not a quality buy for GS and I don't remember seeing Segrave in any IPO announcemets where GS may back the debt.

Curious post and reasoning a POI would disclose management/ownership particulars of a company to its' new-hires/employees. Doesn't exactly fit...

POI: "So, why don't you describe the fuel system of this BE40...And by the way, I think GS made a bid for your company last month and I think Jr. got a great offer, yep should have been closed all ready for most or all of the company...."

Goldman-Sachs?

I have to correct myself but yup, it was Goldman-Sachs. They purchased some company down in Tampa I beleive and are adding the a/c to Seagrave's ticket or to the Tampa company's ticket and are going to be managed by Seagrave.

It was something like that, except the oral for my 747 type was over and we were shooting the $hit and because I asked him who he was the POI for now since he wasn't ours any longer.

Is that POI KH by any chance?

Can't find their recruitment ad anymore. Is it over and if so any chance they will start up again. Looks interesting from here. Thanks for any info.

I know that it's spelled Segrave. I was looking for some info on them a while back and thought it was Seagrave also. Had a hell of a time finding their website

Segrave merged with a company out of NY. It is the same one that was posted above. I know that they are really in need of Hawker 1000 type rated captains but since most of those are still with NetJets, they are having a hard time finding any. If you have the Hawker 1000 type, you got a job I think...

Are there any actual and current Segrave pilots out here that can shed additional information?

Their site has hiring for lr-35, lr55, and some hawker. Cpt and f/o on all. But no place to send a resume to. Any ideas?-kingaira90

This is easy...... go back to the website, dig a little deeper.

Click on "contacts" has a list of names, #'s emails...

gotcha, usually there is an official place to send resumes to. Guess the CP will work.-kingaqira90

They don't fly more than any other place---you just haven't heard of Elite Air in PIE---now they will keep you on the road over 200 plus days a year, and by the way, when you are back in PIE----you are on call!!

Actually I have heard of Elite another bottom of the barrel operator....You may be right they might not fly more than anyone else but you will be on the road more than most places. My information comes from current and former pilots, and the only reason why I posted it is because I don't think employers should lie to perspective employees about schedules and other quality of life issues. Specifically the comment about 8 on 5 off schedule...Again everyone take it for what its worth but I would never work there.

I have a buddy who interviewed there about three weeks ago. The info he was told was similar to what flywrite posted above, but with a couple of caveats. The positions are not salaried. Captain makes $360/duty day. Guaranteed $75K/year. Works out to a minimum of 208 duty days/year. Based on a 9/5 schedule, this gives you 27 days/year to get extra work or work on a better QOL. If I had to guess, as with any other 135 outfit, the company is most likely not interested in improving anyone's QOL, so ultimately it will turn into an opportunity to make an extra $10K/year. That puts you up to $85K/year. With it being a home based operator, when you are on duty you will be away from home. Is it worth it to be away from home for 235 days out the year to put $61K (adjusted for the taxman) in your pocket? One man's trash is another man's treasure!

Hawker 800, was it for a Capt or F.O. position?
