You heard it here first...here's how its going down:

AA declares bankruptcy.
LCC swoops in and gathers them up.
Doug Parker pits the combined AWA/AA pilot force against the pickleballers.
USAPA dies an eagerly anticipated death.
The USAirways name goes away and the surviving entity will be AA.

The key to the secret was the AA aircraft buy. Half Boeing (AA fleet) and half Bus (LCC fleet).

Nothing against Frontier, but they don't really have anything we need. Plenty of Airbus on property and on the way. Doug wants to merge with one of the Big three. Alaska would be nice, because of their Pacific rim access, but it would have to be some funky reverse acquisition/merger deal using Alaska's own money to do the deal. Thankfully for the Alaska pilot's I don't think that will happen. Frontier though? Just can't see why.

Unlike other airlines, I believe Arpy's pension is at risk if he puts AA into bankruptcy. The board will most likely have to remove him with a golden parachute.
