Who ISNT Airways interested in? They are like a ex-con who just got released from jail and is looking to get laid

You heard it here first...here's how its going down:

AA declares bankruptcy.
LCC swoops in and gathers them up.
Doug Parker pits the combined AWA/AA pilot force against the pickleballers.
USAPA dies an eagerly anticipated death.
The USAirways name goes away and the surviving entity will be AA.

The key to the secret was the AA aircraft buy. Half Boeing (AA fleet) and half Bus (LCC fleet).

Nothing against Frontier, but they don't really have anything we need. Plenty of Airbus on property and on the way. Doug wants to merge with one of the Big three. Alaska would be nice, because of their Pacific rim access, but it would have to be some funky reverse acquisition/merger deal using Alaska's own money to do the deal. Thankfully for the Alaska pilot's I don't think that will happen. Frontier though? Just can't see why.

Unlike other airlines, I believe Arpy's pension is at risk if he puts AA into bankruptcy. The board will most likely have to remove him with a golden parachute.

Unfortunately, these is a little bit more truth to this than I can stomach. But if it gets us away from the IBT molesters and felons, let it roll......BTW watch the E jets......

USAir, America West and Frontier. West/Central/East bases.

Why not. It would give a little unity to the east/west side if they had a common foe.

Gup

Look up the top holders of AMR stock. He is in top ten from a percentage point....can't remember where I saw it but saw it the day the stock drops below 2

Throw me in that briar patch.

Let's see........ deal with airline BS and make millions. Get shown the door, get paid millions, play golf. Tough choice.

Exactly.
How do I get THAT job? I deal with airline BS and make only peanuts.

USAIR can't buy F9, because F9 doesn't exist on its own. USAIR can buy all of the old "F9" assests, but not the pilots. I highly doubt USAIR is going to buy and take on all of the RAH pilots that would go with the deal. So as an F9 pilot this deal would mean you would be out of a job for 6ish more years thanks to the fence you got.

Why not? United bought Pan Am's widebody division and the pilots went with it. As a matter of fact, after the buy was announced a number of pilots specifically bid the widebody just to bail out of Pan Am.

Another "fair and equitable" ALPA deal courtesy of Fudgepacker, the B-scale champion of Alaska airlines......

Really, Sacka? Really?

Perhaps you should listen to Abraham Lincoln:

"Its better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."

That supposedly happened at DL as well. The story goes the "Dirty 30" were 30 Pan Am 747 Captains that bid down to the Pan Am Shuttle in LGA on the 727 because they might have heard that something could happen. Delta didn't take the 747s, but they did snap up the Shuttle, and most of those guys bid 767 INTL Capt when they could and ended their careers still flying the North Atlantic, but this time on 767s.

Bye Bye---General Lee

You are correct, Sir. So when someone says, "the pilots don't go with the planes" they are only half right. In SOME cases, that's true. In some, its not. That's the problem with making blanket statements.

Oh..you mean the part about Pan Am ALPA insiders showing up at 747 ground schools without being awarded the bid and displacing rightful bidders when they knew it was going to be wide-body current qualified pilots only to be brought over? Is that the part you mean "B-scale God King of Alaska"? How do I know?.....because of some good buds who were in several of the classrooms and witnessed the ALPA boys at their best and the ensuing chaos.....

You don't necessarily need a picket line to be a "Scab".......

You wouldn't know about these things though Fudgepacker......you were busy at the time being the squadron GOMER........

I wouldn't toss the "scab" word around too much, Mr. EAL2.

Another CF of a union/labor debacle. Just what USAIR needs. Why would they want that mess just to integrate pilots from another airlines integrated list at there current pay rates when they could just hire new hires at $25/hr to fly the planes.

If USAIR buys the F9 birds the "what used to be" F9 pilots WILL get screwed.

Nice try Fudgepacker.....while you were busy being the squadron "Gomer", I was sitting left seat in a Singapore 747 flying to destinations you will never see at your regional airline that is called Alaska....not a bad gig while waiting for a class date at SWA.....the airline that eventually shot you down......

How is that B-scale that you lobbied so hard for at Alaska in order to prevent your 20% pay cut from becoming a 30% pay cut?

Way to negotiate Mr. ALPA God king!!!!

I'm certainly not gonna' get into a scab discussion (your other post) with you, but I had to laugh at this one. You, sir, are one of the friggin' KINGS of making blanket statements on FI. Primarily every time you open your pie-hole regarding SWA. Don't you just love the irony here?
