Either this is flame, or Spirit is trying to break its pilot group. RAH is looking worse than Mesa every day.

This comming from a tool who thinks it's Good to work for Skywest and Bad to work for CHQ. You need to get your priorities straight.

Majors cannot continue to fly empty airplanes. Instead of going out of business, (for better or worse), they make deals with regionals to stay alive another day. Looks like we are all in that boat. Unless your airline attempts another Independence Air deal.

Then fly the smaller planes on a mainline seniority list.

Then fly the smaller planes on a mainline seniority list.

Why, majors gave away that ability long ago to secure what they thought were going to be better wages flying bigger planes.

I like flying bigger planes with my company as long as the majors keep offering them up.

Then fly the smaller planes on a mainline seniority list.

Keep your advice.

How about let's do our best to offer a safe, reliable, and customer-friendly experience on the airplanes we do fly.

How about letting our CEOs figure things out to keep their airlines alive, and we pilots support our unions to fight for better pay, quality of life. Take the company to task when they violate the contract.

Use this site as at tool to educate and motive pilot groups to by unified in that goal instead of giving into demands to surrender benefits.

How about lets quit the blame-game, accusations on this website. Stop these petty jealous (not you - everyone) remarks about each other. It makes us all look small and unprofessional.

Flamebait. Your upper-management friend was snooping around and happens to find a inter-office memo with the name Republic on it? Get off those drugs dude....

is just going to get worse for all of us!!! main line, regional, even Flight Instructing...heres more bad news: ( I'm getting a big bottle of Jack!!) this sucks!!:

Release #09.UAL
January 22, 2009

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Statement from Captain Steve Wallach, Chairman, United Master Executive Council, Air Line Pilots Association, Regarding United’s ‘Innovative’ Partnership With Aer Lingus

“The day after reporting one of its worst quarterly financial results in history and after furloughing an additional 254 pilots (bringing the total to 606 pilots), United Airlines announced today that it has entered into what it calls an ‘innovative’ partnership with Aer Lingus.

“Aer Lingus has advised the Irish press that this joint venture will operate an Aer Lingus aircraft with neither United nor Aer Lingus employees, under a separate operating certificate and under newly established wages and working conditions. Obviously, this partnership will be accomplished at the expense of United’s and Aer Lingus’ own pilots and other employees. This development, where United attempts to establish an airline operation without the use of United aircraft or employees, is nothing less than the outsourcing of jobs to an international company, and clearly demonstrates that this management continues to make business decisions without regard to its pilots and other employees.

“The United pilots are exploring every option to put an end to the company’s blatant disregard and lack of loyalty to the United Airlines brand.”

As is the E-175 was it not? I mean mainline (USairways) did initially intend those planes for their pilots to fly.

how is a 170/175 a mainline airplane and the crj700/900 not? is it because the engines are wing mounted? i dont get it...

RAH is going to take over and merge operations of Spirt, Frontier and Midwest making one super national flying 170/175/190/195 aircraft.
