Either this is flame, or Spirit is trying to break its pilot group. RAH is looking worse than Mesa every day.

This comming from a tool who thinks it's Good to work for Skywest and Bad to work for CHQ. You need to get your priorities straight.

Majors cannot continue to fly empty airplanes. Instead of going out of business, (for better or worse), they make deals with regionals to stay alive another day. Looks like we are all in that boat. Unless your airline attempts another Independence Air deal.

Then fly the smaller planes on a mainline seniority list.

Then fly the smaller planes on a mainline seniority list.

Why, majors gave away that ability long ago to secure what they thought were going to be better wages flying bigger planes.

I like flying bigger planes with my company as long as the majors keep offering them up.

Then fly the smaller planes on a mainline seniority list.

Keep your advice.

How about let's do our best to offer a safe, reliable, and customer-friendly experience on the airplanes we do fly.

How about letting our CEOs figure things out to keep their airlines alive, and we pilots support our unions to fight for better pay, quality of life. Take the company to task when they violate the contract.

Use this site as at tool to educate and motive pilot groups to by unified in that goal instead of giving into demands to surrender benefits.

How about lets quit the blame-game, accusations on this website. Stop these petty jealous (not you - everyone) remarks about each other. It makes us all look small and unprofessional.

Flamebait. Your upper-management friend was snooping around and happens to find a inter-office memo with the name Republic on it? Get off those drugs dude....

is just going to get worse for all of us!!! main line, regional, even Flight Instructing...heres more bad news: ( I'm getting a big bottle of Jack!!) this sucks!!:

Release #09.UAL
January 22, 2009

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Statement from Captain Steve Wallach, Chairman, United Master Executive Council, Air Line Pilots Association, Regarding United’s ‘Innovative’ Partnership With Aer Lingus

“The day after reporting one of its worst quarterly financial results in history and after furloughing an additional 254 pilots (bringing the total to 606 pilots), United Airlines announced today that it has entered into what it calls an ‘innovative’ partnership with Aer Lingus.

“Aer Lingus has advised the Irish press that this joint venture will operate an Aer Lingus aircraft with neither United nor Aer Lingus employees, under a separate operating certificate and under newly established wages and working conditions. Obviously, this partnership will be accomplished at the expense of United’s and Aer Lingus’ own pilots and other employees. This development, where United attempts to establish an airline operation without the use of United aircraft or employees, is nothing less than the outsourcing of jobs to an international company, and clearly demonstrates that this management continues to make business decisions without regard to its pilots and other employees.

“The United pilots are exploring every option to put an end to the company’s blatant disregard and lack of loyalty to the United Airlines brand.”

As is the E-175 was it not? I mean mainline (USairways) did initially intend those planes for their pilots to fly.

how is a 170/175 a mainline airplane and the crj700/900 not? is it because the engines are wing mounted? i dont get it...

RAH is going to take over and merge operations of Spirt, Frontier and Midwest making one super national flying 170/175/190/195 aircraft.

Its because the E170 Series looks like a A320/B737

NOT!

This comming from a tool who thinks it's Good to work for Skywest and Bad to work for CHQ. You need to get your priorities straight.

1) I Do not work for Sky West
2) RAH is destroying the lives of Midwest pilots.
3) It would be a shame to see that happen to Spirit pilots.
4) 1/2 pay for Dead heads? no cancel pay? That sucks

Get your priorities straight

1) I Do not work for Sky West Good for you
2) RAH is destroying the lives of Midwest pilots. True, at least you realize its RAH Mgmt and your Timmy fellow and not the RAH Pilots
3) It would be a shame to see that happen to Spirit pilots. It truly would be a shame. Don't want to see it happen
4) 1/2 pay for Dead heads? no cancel pay? That sucks
1. False
2. True

Get your priorities straight

I will be voting with my feet when the time comes (and doors open up). You should too.

The Spirit rumor just got "put to bed" by a credible source - NO TRUTH TO IT!!!!

Yes RAH destroyed the midwest pilots, not thier magmt! Who if it wasn't for RAH loan, ALL MIDWEST PILOTS would be jobless! But still, its all RAH fault, not the MidW Mangmt.
-Its 75% DH pay,
-Cancel payprotected if you already left, not even AA has that, and thats a MAJOR. Its not the best, but alot are worse.
-Oh, how does your Jr Man work day feel?
Bottom line, they work on what the economy demands. Get with it. Airlines need to be agressive to survive in this ********************ty economy in case you been in a cave the last 6 months, its part of FREE MARKET SYSTEM, the times demand alternate measures, if your co isn't, don't blame another for wishing yours was doing the same. Be more productive and blame your Mangmt!

wow, mr big bad guy here. he sure put everybody else in our place. "cancel payprotected if you already left" - WTF is that?

A whole 75% DH pay over 50%, gee that is a make or bust deal right there, whatever.

like it has been said before, justifying/arguing anything "commuter/regional" is like trying to justify participation in the special olympics.

and it is even better when argued by someone who has never flown for an airline before. Geo, what are you one of those flight program interns who runs the desktop MS flight sim interview out there on Purdue Road, Suite 300?

Ladies and Gentlemen.... the reason that RAH pilots have earned their reputation. Do you all tell the midwest pilots that you saved their jobs when in their jumpseat?

Nobody serves our republic like Republic! *Barf*

(My apologies to any pilots who flew for the real Republic.)

You guys got to be kidding me. Is it skywest pilots fault that skyway got shut down? NO!! other ex-skyway pilots and I dont think that way. It the YX/ midwest Mngmt that we blame for. When i worked for skyway tons of YX pilots knew that it was their turn and was looking into some other airlines. They didnt trust their managements!!! "We know we are next" that was their exact word. If you want to blame someone for something get the facts strait.

I was referring to your fellow pilot that said "midwest pilots should thank us for saving their jobs because without a loan they would be toast." I bet even a CHQ mainline ERJ-170 pilot can see that dude is a level one dou*ch. Again, I don't have it in for you dudes, but guys like that perpetuate the reputation that other regionals have for you.

Personally, I feel really sorry for those who got furloughed from YX. Yea i agree with you that we shouldnt be thanked for anything but i'm sure some other airline(s) or some bank would've loaned them some $$. The question is "which airline(s)? and what in return?? I'm not too excited to see those 717 go away! But arent we all flying routes that once flown by mainline guys in less $$? Like i said and majority of RAH guys, we werent excited about YX deal. I hope some of you dont become too judgemental about RAH because of one particular person. I'm sure every company has one or two of those.

Who doesn't get cancellation pay, and why would you have to leave first to get it, thats sounds like someone needs some lube.

Hopefully this is true. Republic is starting to stagnate. It's hard to pay the bills on the max first officer pay scale of $37/hour. It is even harder now given that most months, it is hard to break guarantee.

Hockey get your head out of your SSA!....no wonder your an FO, you probably couldn't think your way into the left seat if your career depended on it. This is exactly the type of failed thinking that has put us where we are today.

Go do your walk around, that's about the only thing your good for.
