Jeez,

No way Delta is gonna piss away a company that they paid over a 1.8 billion dollars for (Is that right, 1.8 Billion? Can't remember)! If they do, they just lost there arse on that investment. We heard the same thing at PDT/ALG/PSA!! Bottom line is that these regionals still generate revenue! The 50 Seat RJ might not make what it once did, but still turns a small profit!
With the wages the way they are, I see contract carriers slowly getting the boot from mainline carriers. Soon all flying by the Majors will be kept in house, no sense paying a contract carrier money when you can operate the planes yourself and keep the money.
Mesa Operates for Delta, US Airways, United, etc. etc.! And they cancel in CLT because half there crews don't know if there suppose to be flying on the US Airways side, or the United. Funny when United is calling US Airways trying to find a Mesa crew! That all makes business sense!!

No, they paid about 700 mil and sold it for 325 (or something like that. DL has already ruined CMR, so they'll be happy and lucky if they get 500 mil for it.

Is there a reason it wouldn't be good if Republic buys CMR?

Paying 1.8 Billion for Comair was even dumber than paying 750 million for ASA. If they can sell it for a a few hundred mil, I am sure the Delta BOD will think it is a great idea.

They haven't made one good decision in the last 7 or 8 years...so why start now.

Grinstein couldn't make money with a Dunkin' Donuts franchise.

Yeah, DAL ruined CMR by making them twice as large as when they bought them and buying them all those RJs.

DAL will sell CMR. Bank on it. If it's not Republic, it will probably be MESA. The more concessions DAL is able to extract from CMR, the more attractive the offers will be for its ultimate sale.
