I don't recall mentioning "scabs" anywhere in my post.

No, but that's what you were asking about, is it not?

Now if NJ DOES go on strike and all the charter outfits pick up the slack.....are the various pilot groups therefore guilty of flying struck work?

NJA in 135 Market?

Anybody know just how much Net Jets relies on the subctontracted 135 market these days?

That information is probably confidential and could not be revealed by an employee. But there may be outsiders who have a good idea.

FYI: Don't know if this relates to a possible NetJet's pilot strike. But I noticed an ad out in the latest Professional Pilot magazine (April 2005, p.4).

The ad, about 1/4 page size (pretty expensive) is from NetJets looking for pilots. Don't know if there having a difficult time recruiting pilots or preparing themselves just in case there's some sort of action in the future?

Just an observation.

Well after june 24th there will be no PAID instructors to train the new guys.
Hows that gonna fix things??

Nutjets won't hire pilots directly if they want to avoid a strike. If a pilot is hired at NJA, he will be expected to strike like everyone else, newbie or not. So hiring more pilots cannot be management's answer to a strike. The fact is that we are so busy that we need more pilots. Also, NJA management totally underestimated the need for more pilots after 91k implementation. We also have new airplanes arriving all the time (400XP, some Xs, XLs.... soon the G150, more 800XPs, Falcons, eventually the Horizon).

Read section 23.8 of the contract in terms of Strike Line compliance vs. termination. Very black and white. Any pilot need not fear termination for not crossing. ALL PILOTS ARE EXPECTED NOT TO CROSS.
