It might be a little late in coming but I do the same thing now (albeit on a much much smaller scale) and call myself Flight Manager.
I get a base salary with additional per-hour flight pay, overnight compensation ect ect. I did it this way for a couple reasons.
1.) Office duties and managment duties are the same year round.
2.) Flight pay is based entirely on usage. Why pay me "more" in base if im not flying much. The way I have it worked now is I have a reasonable base salary for office biatch and a reasonable hourly rate per BLOCK hour in the airplane. F- the hobbs
Here's an example of something I drew up about a year ago for a hunting buddy that just happens to own a many millions construction company and needed an airplane to take him 250 miles or less to all the jobsites. Kinda funny to be an early 20 something aviation consultant:nuts:
