Ahh yes another expert who has this industry all figured out.I don`t think you are aware of how many refugees there are here from former card carrying ALPA carriers.Usair,America West,Aloha,ATA,ABX,Spirit,Midwest Express, and numerous regional carriers.A lot of us where out of jobs, and this carrier gave us a opportunity to hopefully build a great career, and they provided a means of a paycheck.Yes it may not be as good as your UPS pay check, but it is a paycheck.
I think it is safe to say that when we all got in to this industry we all had dreams of flying a wide-body around the world for a Major carrier make a boat load of money.A lot of us where doing well, but Airlines disappear and we have to provide for our familys.I am guessing, but I am pretty sure that when you went in to the Military your first dream was to be a fighter pilot,we`ll that just didn`t work out for you and you settled for transports. Then you got out of the Military and I am sure you applied to all the Majors,Well how did that work out for you?I am sure flying boxes around wasn`t first on your list.Ups is a great company and congratulations on your career, but I do belive UPS first contracted to many other airlines to move their freight. So even the mighty UPS had to start somewhere, and many of the pilots prior to you felt the pain of a upstart airline.
