Newman...you wanna make a bet..All your IP's are logged and while they change, your service provider does not!!! You seem to just show up a few days after you...I mean D'Angelo were banned and you have not posted since X-Mas....Welcome back...as short as it may be

Longhorn, you da man!!!

Chuck,

that's the point I've been getting at. And pretty much there isn't any history that says they will, or not. In fact that history says, some other groups will gladly take them at our rates, in fact mesa would be getting an increase.

Gut feeling, if PSA votes em down they will be somewhere else with the 700's as a bonus gift

Sounds like management has you exactly where they want you - scared that if you vote this down, if you don't accept these airplanes WITH NO NEGOTIATION WHATSOEVER, you will lose your job.

Ok, Just curious.

PSA votes no. Mgmt has plan "B" they go somewhere else, with the 700's. then what?

It has to start somewhere. The foundation is being laid with decisions like this and the one at AWAC. We can continue to let management fragment the pilot community and use threatening techniques to pad their bottom line and bonuses, or we can stand up and demand correct wage structures. We aren't talking about DAL 300k/yr captains, we are talking about 36k/yr FOs and 65k/yr CAs.

One...I repeat...ONE really bad regional jet accident with a 700hr wonder boy making 20k/yr at the controls....and this gets to the media...look out.

Raise the bar gentlemen....and the rest will follow.

Whatever happens, happens. If the company wants to disolve PSA because they cannot be reasonable then so be it. This take it or leave it proposal is so insulting that a NO vote is inevitable. I cannot see them shutting down a perfectly good airline because of a few dollars. It would be the biggest aviation blunder in history. PSA Management made the deal with AW, they told them we would do it for the same money, and we won't. Now they are backed into a corner because our management didn't leave any negotiation room. And that is our fault? So they have to resort to scare tactics to get people to vote Yes. If we can't get a fair rate to fly the airplanes or at least some provisions that the fleet isn't going to shrink, then who cares what happens to the airplanes. Send them to Go Jerks.
Maybe if management worked with the pilot group and improved our QOL and schedules, (Did u see tier 2), you could get them on property for the same pay rate. But to keep everything status quo....Not gonna happen.

And yes i would expect everything to be in writing.

Let me respond with a question...just curious.

You sound scared that if you vote NO to the 900 ultimatum, jobs will be lost. Are you concerned about loss of aircraft? Does management silently have a gun to the pilot group's head threatening the loss of the 700s? WHERE WOULD THEY GO?

Aren't you concerned that once the 900s get on property some 200s will go away, causing a net of zero growth? After all, Parker has said multiple times there are far too many 50 seaters in the system...

Not really scared of a/c going away. As the 190's come on board I can simply go there. (maybe) or go back to previous previous airline, making the same money.

I guess what I'm more concerned about is keeping as many aircraft under the US umbrella as possible. No offense, but mesa had how over 100 a/c in our realms. You guys have 70. PSA has 49. and it was a struggle to get that many. PDT is down quite a few aircraft, after they disolved/folded ALG into PDT.

And wathcing US managment for the past 7 years. No I don't trust them. What they did with MDA....etc ....what they are doing now with the ML negotiations.
I will probably vote no, based on principal. But my gut says, if it's voted down, Mgmt won't be coming back, the 900's will find new homes. 700's maybe (mgmt has already hinted at that) and then you'll see the 1000hr types bitching that they got screwed by whatever carrier ends up flying them...

I am inclined to feel the same way. Got a job for me too if the need arises?

Terrain where is your sense of humor...humor is a good thing when times are tough. Just like you, I would like to be able to pay my bills every month without having to scrounge for open time. Its getting really old working hard and not seeing my labor bear any fruit....I made a wise crack...really its therapeutic...you should try it.
