PM me five non J4J guys that are in favor of the slotted senority system and I will call them myself. THere is no use sending somthing out for pilot raitification that will be shoot down in less than 5 seconds.BFE said:Weasil, DorkProp!
Please review what Weasil quoted me on:
"Our MEC seems to be taking a stand and is willing to loose their (our) jobs over this situation without allowing us to vote or at least consulting the majority. Word has it that if the 70+ seat issues are not resolved which will cause the CRJ 701's to leave the property, our CRJ 200 program will be stopped at about 32 planes or cut back to who knows what."
So, where are the lies in this statement?
The lies are very clear. You are talking about two seperate issue's. LOA 7 dealt with 700 payrates and work rule changes. You have yet to see a LOA regarding slotted bidding. Here's the kicker. The majority(overwhelming) of the pilot's the reps represent, have stated that they will not be in favour of giving up their senority. Period. LOA 7 was voted down by statistically the same percentage of pilot's that vote each time there is a vote. The biggest issue with LOA 7 was the language. If and when that is changed, you will once again have the chance to vote on it. If it is ratified, then this little problem is off the table.
I have heard from very good sources that there is more than one MEC member that has no problem making the decision to loose our jobs at the MEC level. In other words, no pilot group vote!
There is nothing for you to vote on BFE. We are making decision's based on what the pilot's are voicing thier concerns to us about. It's very clear that they do not want this slotted senority crap and will vote it down. Therefore, if the MEC has the same reservations as the pilot's and even more concerns you are not even aware of, then it will not even pass the MEC for a vote.
The current MEC is the most dangerous I've seen here. Sure, they sent out a worthless LOA 7 for the pilot group to vote on. However they were trying to shoot it down behind the scenes, how do I know? I talked to some of the SOB's and from what I have heard all voted against it on the pilot group vote! So what is a regular line guy like me supposed to think of my MEC with this knowledge? Confused, and clueless come to mind first.
Let's get this straight. The MEC did not endorse LOA 7. We agreed to it as long as it was sent out for pilot ratification. That was it.
Dorkprop, I think the number is greater than 5 that would give up a sliver of senority. That is all it comes down to, a sliver. Especially if they were lucky enough to have the choice when faced with loosing their jobs.
How did I get dragged into this? The only thing I posted was about what PSA stands for.BFE said:Weasil, DorkProp!
