Wait, CEL guys? NO way! They're not going to get a very warm welcome at all unless they are stapled to the bottom of the list where they belong. This came up in March and we shot it down. Lets hope that happens again.

Piss on the CEL

Don't start this CEL thread again! Save that for elsewhere!!!

Bender, When were you at PSA since you know so much about the place (and so many people (or have you just heard about SB?)

The last groups we interviewed, half were typed in the CRJ, the old fashioned way (they earned it!) and a few had 10000 hours. It's ashamed you have to send people home that you want to hire because they cannot pass a test that is geared toward guys who have just studied to take the ATP written...Could you pass the test without doing some homework? Don't rain on everyone else's parade just because you're bitter...Some people want a job or want to stay in the business. Some people don't need the money.

From now on, all evals are in the CRJ..It was economics, we were offered the 7-3 because it was decertified and they wanted us to keep it "Lubricated". SIms are like Airplanes, things go bad when they sit!

The Captain Slots for the June 26th class were taken by Management pilots and a Safety Department Specialist. Two of which are directors. As far as I know the new hire class is still on but I'm not in that loop as closely right now.

I think that answered most of the questions, If not I'll repost.

Good Luck,
PSACPSP

Hawkbee,
Were you my Indy gal? I'll try to find out about the June 26th class when I get back on Friday. You had a friend interview last week, he'll be looking for you!

CEL is the "Combined Eligibility List" and includes the PDT, ALG and PSA guys for flowup's to mainline...You can find more about it on this website.

Wah. :crying:

If you didn't want the J4J guys, then you should've declined the jets.

You could've gone to the desert with the Dorniers.

Instead you got all excited about the prospect of replacing the entire fleet (plus growth aircraft) with shiny new replacement jets.

The pilots whose jobs were "replaced" were simply a part of the deal.

Before my time man. I'm not complaining (here anyways). Just repeating what I heard recently. Oh, the Dorks aren't sitting in the desert... Most of them are chilling by the ocean in MYR. Not a bad place to sit out retirment if you ask me. But again, before my time.

No. I was there. I had the misfortune to fly with SB. Also Silverstein, DK, and our friend in CVG who signed his checks, "Captain".

But hey, maybe it was me. About the only guy there I really enjoyed flying with was Rocky. The vast majority of the rest were fresh-faced kids just out of instructing who upgraded way too fast to learn how to be a good F/O ... much less a good captain.

I left before J4J started. In fact every single pilot that was in my PSA newhire class left the company within 18 months. The experience was such that when I was finally offered a J4J slot I declined.

It's not personal. I never flew with you. When Welsh left it just made it crystal clear to most of us that PSA wasn't the place to sit out a long-term furlough.

I have been here for all of those people...Welsh's (and RP's) situation was different than mine. Yes, there are some interesting people that work here to be politically correct but doesn't that happen Everywhere? Where you based in CVG?
