Actually, I did sport a bit of a chubby when I first noticed him....

Maybe I was jealous of his brand new airplane flying my old route

(sound of laughing )...Damm I just spilled my coffee, ....yup we'll keep on parking DC9's and keep buying Compass 170's , I think NWA is buying $460m dollars worth of the pretty little jets(announcement of financing last month).

Makes me feel good, ...now where can I find a Purdy Neat Flower bag ?....

You guys at big brother just make d@mn sure you keep scope locked up from here on out. There's already talk of 190's on the way and we don't want to fly them unless we're on your seniority list and payscale.

I wouldn't count on it. The senior guys will be stepping over themselves to give away scope for any contract incentives.

I find the hostility of some DC9 drivers towards CPS pilots somewhat amusing. Guess what - we didn't vote to relax scope at nwa, and I wouldn't have voted for if it was my decision to make. Moreover, guess who negotiated the crappy payrates at CPS? Yup, NWA ALPA...AFTER nwa was out of BK!

Most of us at CPS thus far are experienced pilots from unionized carriers and are looking to make CPS a better place so there's less incentive for steenland & co to destroy our future mainline jobs. Of course, NWA's MEC is planning on keeping us as part of LEC 1...so the question is...have the mainline guys learned from their mistakes and started to realize that what happens at the regionals does affect them? I'm not horribly optimistic.

nwaredtail, your energy would be better spent educating some of your senior pilots than flinging poo at CPS pilots, IMHO.

...although I do have to say, a flower-patterned rollaboard is pretty hilarious
