Good reference material for Ruskie:
Denver text of the Jeppeson kit. Explains the tail of the feather. It is sometimes located inside of the maltese cross.
Paradise (and Civet) arrivals to 25L in LAX (not familiar with the CVG approach but suspect it's similar) has a lot of stepdowns pror to FAF. In the MD-11 you can use VS and fly about one dot high to make all your crossing restrictions without having to level off at each step (cross at or above altitudes). Same in DC-10. Hand flying works OK too. Just don't bust the step downs, some of which are there to allow aircraft from the south to use the north runways and cross in front of you.
