Honestly I don't see this helping too much (the 5 grand)! Instead of trying to pay people to come here, it seems it would be cheaper to try and do things to make people wanna stay!
Like what you may ask!
1st they could treat us better! How much would it cost the company to have the Chief Pilot call you and tell you thanks for working on your day off! We know that Junior Man really screwed up your schedule, however we wanted you to know how much we appreciated it! Now, the sting of the Junior Man isn't as bad because you know that they really appreciated your Help! Not just calling you after your 4th occurence or when you do something wrong! So him calling and saying thanks, didn't cost the company crap!
2nd How about painting a Airplane, or trying to keep the planes they have in nice condition! We get our arse ridin' about Impressions of Excellence however most of our planes look like Shizzzzznit!!
3rd..... Hell, I don't know! Just do freaking something to make people wanna stay more then 6 months!
This 5k will get some people here, but many will probably take the 2500.00 at trainings end, and still leave!

I know I would if I was a low time CFI!
Also, if they did'nt make you feel like you were going to get fired at the drop of a hat for something like calling in sick!

 Be smart, take the $2500 and run off with PJ into the sunset!!!!!

Wow - they (USAirways) is still riding this tired old dog? I remember way back in the early 90's being sent to PIT to attend one of the first conferences....even got a shiny piece of paper documenting my attendance...maybe I should put that in a frame?

On another note - I've been back in the SIM center for the last couple months after last being there almost 10 years ago with ALG. I don't think the place has been painted or improved since a decade ago.

Same paint, carpet, and old travel posters....but it sure has been fun running into old friends.

I really, really wish I still had my instructional booklet. That way I could show people who want to bring back mandatory hats and banish leather jackets at my current company just how much fun uniforms can be. Don't forget: No bulging shirt pockets, and for goodness sake, uncross those arms!

That's so typical for Piedmont. I worked there for almost seven years and everything they sent me in the mail had my name spelled wrong.
I love getting my pay stub and seeing how they can't spell New Bern. They decided to spell it New Burn. Gotta love it.

Actually, I would go if they throw in one of HG's leather jackets and a guaranteed base with PJ. If they offered that, then they can keep the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$;)

Rules of Negotiation from a recovering lawyer:

RULE #1: Never accept their first offer.

RULE #2: Never accept their second offer.

So, with a 5,000 Grand signing bonus, and they are still paying during training??

I worked at Piedmont last summer for 6 months, then moved on around September. I finally got the rest of my uniform in December. Anyone want it?

It seems like they're hiring people like crazy. They just hired 13 people from ERAU Prescott, me included.

sweet. job protection till I quit or flow through... which ever comes first!!! Training tis a bitch with the regular sized classes though, enjoy!

I'm looking forward to the challenge and the fun of turboprop flying. It'll be tough, but I know I'll get through it. Not sure how accurate it is, but John Buchanan said they only had 1 person fail with the new AQP training. Anyone know anything more about that?
