Mikey and his cronies would be getting away with much more in terms of illegal and unsafe operations had it not been for the IBT 1108. This is a fact that you have yet to dispute because you can't. However, you continue with your claims that management is on the forefront of safety and that the union is useless yet you refuse to address the issues point by point. Get off your high horse and fly the airplane. If you want to manage get off your horse and see if you can handle it. I doubt you can. The real vocal guys fold quickly under the pressure from the rank and file complaints once they realize how difficult it is. The goods ones that "get it" become just as anti-union as me because they suddenly get the big picture.

No B19. Nothing has to be drummed up by the union as the company's safety transgressions are obvious. (here some of the points that you have skirted repeatedly and that you'll skirt again)

FLOPS management instituted the NTSB's circadian low period. The scheduling managers said that this was too restrictive to operations. So guess what? FLOPS ALTERED THE NTSB'S PERIOD FOR THEIR OWN CONVENVIENCE BY A HALF HOUR AT EACH END!

Management systematically intimidates the pilots into flying illegally. This has been shown to you by not only me.

He has been told politely, and bluntly, (a person without an agenda would have taken the hint) that his alleged past experience in another industry has no bearing here and now in this one.

Q: What did the the frac community do to be cursed with this idiot (only term printable) spreading FUD?

A: The Options pilots are exercising a traditional and legal right to negotiate their salary and work under a binding contract. Fud and Harassment (F&H) agents are sitting across from them at the bargaining table representing the CEO who was recently exposed as a liar...:rolleyes:

(It clicks right away and the pilots see exactly what's going on.)

I have nothing to gain by posting here, except to give info in support of those still there. But here's some more info for you.

I worked at Options before. I have seen, in this thread and others related to this strife, that many of the things that I saw then are still going on now. I just saw that someone that was there then that I had a conflict over safety and maintenance issues with is still there. But now is in a higher position than when I left. However, many who were there that shared a view of what is safe and held to the stated company line, have left, or were sent packing.

This same individual listed above that gave me crap professed to have been involved in aviation safety, formerly involved in military aviation safety (how, I don't know), and tried to lecture me on what aviation safety is. I hold a Certificate of Aviation Safety from USC, the credit hours for which are about as long as a masters'. Things he espoused ran headlong against what I had been taught, both in school, and in 20 years of in-the-field practice. Evidently, my views didn't jibe with getting the job done. He also put a crew and aircraft at Options in jeopardy over the same item he tried to pressure me to go with.

It isn't workable to have the company tell its laborers one thing, and secretly pressure them to do another. Therefore, pilots here may like to "get off their horse" and go "try to manage", but their style won't work in this environment, and they end up another casualty of this deception. Those who can run under the secret closet ops rules get promoted, and hence, have the power to make it miserable for the line pilots.

I've also noted that somehow, pilot pay has declined from what I was getting 6 years ago. And benefits cost 5 times as much. And rest is being neglected. (It was regarded as important when I was there, iit seemed then that they knew we were working hard on "their 8 days"). And for the record, when I gave them extra effort, they willingly gave me extra rest).

B19, you are a joke. You don't know near enough about this situation to have so much to say. Especially for an outsider. Unless you are the shill everyone thinks you are. Then you're just misguided.

I met one of the 1108 reps at a seminar last week, and came away impressed, even from a short conversation. He expressed genuine care and support for getting things done for the crews.

I will contnue to hold good thoughts for those struggling through at Options, that it will work out favorably for you in the end.

Respectfully, NO.

Take the same hypothetical question (“I wonder if…?”) and substitute David Koresh, Jim Jones, Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, your first wife, or any other failed or deposed person that might come to mind. All of them would be examples of situations that were in need of attention and usually became more complicated than the original problem.

Going back to the way it was is not a reasonable option.

I totally agree! However, FUD campaigns are sometimes effective otherwise union-busters wouldn't use them so aggressively and desperately, especially when they're trying to destroy the group's unity and will to prevail. That said, if the posting group votes to give the fudspinner the boot (place him on their ignore list) I will follow their lead. Then I'll switch to red boots and put a red anti-fud warning on the bottom of my posts...;)

I rightfully compared you to the greatest propaganda artist of all time, Hitler, simply on the basis of your stupid boot references.

The pirate reference to yourself is even a better comparison because of your union support. I’ve always thought of unions as a group that invades, plunders, pillages and takes by force wages and funds that isn’t rightfully theirs. THE RLA is the vehicle, but unions use methods that cripple a company to get what they want.

To consider you with the greatest pirates of all time would be appropriate. It is much more fitting because that is exactly what a union does each time they attack a company with complete disregard to the collateral damage that may occur. Thank you for that reference.
