Not to nit pick but it's actually Hoorah. It's a Celtic battle cry which means "To kill." Had a chaplain explain that and plead with us not to say it in church, which of course made us say it louder.

The joys of MCRD San Diego; stay up late watching the fireworks at Seaworld, watching the planes take off and wishing you were on one, then going to church and ticking off of chaplain.

Thanks to all the Marines that gave so much so that we would be free.
An ex instructor by the name of Tom Carroll passed away a few years ago.
He was a retired Tank Commander who after retirement instructed out of CRQ( Carlsbad CA ) for the next 20 plus years giving over 16,000 hours of instruction.
If anyone on this board knew him they knew what kind of Marine and person he was.
Just thought this was worth mentioning.
